Command Post Staff

Summary

Legends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for Part-Time Command Staff at Reliant Park in Houston, Texas.  Reliant Park is in the fast lane for opportunity and excitement.  We are a one-of-a-kind premier facility with four major venues within one giant park.  Reliant Center (one million+ sq. ft.

Convention Center), Reliant Stadium (home of the Houston Texans and The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo), Reliant Astrodome (“The” Astrodome), and Reliant Arena.    The Command Post Staff under general supervision perform various duties in the Command Post during events, including answering phone calls and monitoring the radio, dispatching appropriate Legends Global personnel as needed.  Duties will vary between facility and events.  Acts as liaison between the facility and clients, ensuring all clients’ requirements are met and

facility rules, regulations and policies are adhered to.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Include the following:

Represent Legends Global Reliant Park in the unified Command Post during large scale events including, but not limited to stadium events (concerts, Houston Texans home games, Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo events, family shows (such as Monster Jam, Disney on Ice, and Ringling Bros.), and national sporting events.

Enter, dispatch and close incidents with incoming information from various departments via our 24/7 incident management software.

Monitor the Legends Global Command Post radio channel, dispatch calls to the appropriate departments or partners, and ensure timely response for incidents.

Answer phone calls made into Command Post by stadium team members, and dispatch calls based on the information received from those phones calls in a timely manner.

Ensure incidents on 24/7 software are completed in a timely manner and closed out with accurate information.

Answer and monitor for incoming text messages through our stadium text line for Legends Global led events (stadium concerts, family shows, national sporting events).

Ensure event tasks assigned on the event day Command Post checklist for Reliant Park Legends Global are dispatched and completed in a timely manner.

Maintain contact with the Lead Event Manager during events that Command Post is open.

Communicate with various departments or partners in real time of active changes.

During an emergency response, potentially act as a scribe to ensure accurate tracking of communicated details.

Provide world-class guest experience for all guests and employees at Reliant Park, while remaining calm and professional during busy and strenuous activity during active events.

May perform other duties as assigned.

• High School Graduate/GED or equivalent combination of education and skills.
• Minimum of 2 years related experience.
• Experience using ISS 24/7 Incident Management Software is a plus/preferred.

• Computer Skills
• Operate and be proficient utilizing standard office equipment and personal computer(s) using Outlook, MS Windows, Excel, and Word.
• Other Qualifications
• Be licensed to operate a motor vehicle in the United States.
• Be available to attend requested Reliant Park training.
