LAYIQ Terms of Service

These Terms of Service describe the rules for using LAYIQ, a job-search software product provided by Roleworthy Labs Inc. (“LAYIQ,” “we,” “us,” or “our”). By creating an account, using LAYIQ, purchasing a subscription, or purchasing job-unlock credits, you agree to these Terms.
If you do not agree to these Terms, do not use LAYIQ.
1. What LAYIQ provides
LAYIQ is an online job-search workspace that helps users discover relevant roles, review job fit, organize opportunities, and create job-search materials such as cover letters.
LAYIQ may include AI-assisted features. These features are intended to help you think, draft, organize, and evaluate job opportunities. They do not replace your judgment.
LAYIQ is not an employer, recruiter, staffing agency, career counselor, financial advisor, legal advisor, or background-check service. LAYIQ does not guarantee interviews, job offers, compensation, hiring outcomes, or application success.
2. Accounts
You may need an account to use certain features. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for activity that occurs under your account.
You agree to provide accurate account information and to keep your account secure. You may not create duplicate accounts or manipulate account or email identity to obtain more than one introductory trial or invitation, bypass access controls, interfere with the service, or misrepresent your identity. This anti-abuse rule does not limit LAYIQ's ability to deliberately issue a separate no-card invitation as described below; any such reissue is controlled by LAYIQ, not requested or earned by creating another account.
We may suspend, limit, or terminate access if we believe your account is being used in violation of these Terms, to harm the service, to evade plan limits, or to create legal, security, or operational risk.
3. Plans and access
LAYIQ offers three public access tiers:
- Flex: no monthly fee, one complimentary job unlock, and optional one-time packs of 5 unlocks for $5.99, 10 unlocks for $9.99, or 20 unlocks for $15.99, plus applicable taxes.
- Base: $19.99 per month, plus applicable taxes.
- Pro: $29.99 per month, plus applicable taxes.
Base and Pro are monthly subscription plans. Flex is not a subscription and has no recurring monthly fee. There is no public Free plan or public Premium plan. LAYIQ does not offer an annual plan at launch. Prices exclude applicable taxes unless checkout states otherwise.
Each Flex unlock opens one eligible job for that account. Purchased unlock credits do not renew and remain available while the account is active, subject to these Terms and any refund, dispute, fraud, or account-enforcement adjustment. The complimentary unlock is limited to one verified customer identity and may not be obtained again by deleting or recreating an account.
We may, in our sole discretion, issue a no-card Base invitation to a named person. Each invitation provides 30 days of Base access without a payment method, is single-use and bound to the intended account and email address, and is not a transferable public coupon. It expires at the recorded end of its term, does not automatically renew, and does not create a paid subscription. After an invitation expires or LAYIQ revokes it, LAYIQ may deliberately issue a separate new invitation to that person. A reissue is not an extension of the prior invitation and is not a user entitlement; only LAYIQ may decide whether to issue one.
Feature availability, plan limits, pricing, and plan names may change over time. If we materially change paid plan pricing or access, we will apply those changes according to applicable law and the terms presented at the time.
4. Paid subscriptions and one-time purchases
Base and Pro are monthly subscriptions. For subscriptions purchased on LAYIQ's website, a new Base subscriber may receive one 30-day card-backed trial after providing a payment method and affirmatively accepting the applicable purchase terms. LAYIQ determines trial eligibility from existing LAYIQ user and billing history. A previous Base trial makes a subscriber ineligible for another trial but never prevents an immediate Base purchase. Reuse of a payment method by different LAYIQ users is an abuse signal only and does not by itself deny a trial. Pro does not include a trial and is charged at checkout.
For website subscriptions, unless canceled before a Base trial ends, Base begins at $19.99 per month plus applicable taxes and renews monthly until canceled. Pro begins at checkout at $29.99 per month plus applicable taxes and renews monthly until canceled. You authorize LAYIQ and its payment processor to charge your selected payment method for subscription fees and applicable taxes. Payments are processed by a third-party payment provider. LAYIQ does not store your full card number.
For subscriptions purchased through Apple's App Store or Google Play, the store displays the purchase price, billing period, any eligible introductory offer, and renewal terms before you confirm. Base may include a one-month introductory free trial for eligible subscribers; this is separate from the website's 30-day trial. Store eligibility rules also apply, and a trial is available only when offered for your purchase. Pro has no introductory trial. The store bills these subscriptions, which renew automatically unless canceled according to its terms.
Flex unlock packs are one-time purchases and do not automatically renew. At checkout, you authorize LAYIQ and its payment processor to charge the displayed one-time price and applicable taxes. Buying a Flex unlock pack does not create a Base or Pro subscription.
If a recurring payment fails, we may retry or otherwise seek to recover payment and may temporarily continue paid access. If payment is not recovered, we may suspend or end paid access. We do not promise a specific recovery period.
5. Cancellation
For subscriptions purchased on LAYIQ's website, you may cancel your paid subscription at any time through the billing portal or another cancellation method we provide.
For subscriptions billed by Apple, manage or cancel the subscription in your Apple Account's subscription settings. For subscriptions billed by Google Play, manage or cancel it in Google Play's subscriptions settings. The LAYIQ app's Manage subscription control opens the relevant store. Follow the store's cancellation deadline and the access end date it displays. Apple advises canceling a free trial at least 24 hours before it ends to avoid renewal. Uninstalling LAYIQ does not cancel a store subscription.
Cancellation stops future renewal. Unless otherwise required by law or stated at the time of cancellation, you will continue to have access to paid features through the end of the then-current paid billing period.
6. Refund policy
For purchases made on LAYIQ's website, monthly subscription payments and Flex unlock-pack purchases are generally non-refundable except where required by law or where LAYIQ chooses, in its sole discretion, to make an exception. If a Flex purchase is refunded, reversed, or successfully disputed, LAYIQ may remove the corresponding credits or adjust the account's credit balance.
For purchases billed by Apple, request a refund at reportaproblem.apple.com; Apple reviews requests under its refund rules. For purchases billed by Google Play, use Google Play's refund request process or contact LAYIQ Support. Google Play permits developers to assist with purchase issues and process refunds under their policies and applicable law. Eligibility depends on the purchase and applicable store rules; requesting a refund does not guarantee approval. These store processes do not limit any rights you have under applicable law.

7. User content
You may submit information to LAYIQ, including resume text, job preferences, target roles, locations, notes, cover-letter inputs, job records, and other job-search materials (“User Content”).
You retain ownership of your User Content. You grant LAYIQ a limited license to use, process, store, display, and transmit User Content as necessary to provide, secure, maintain, and improve the service.
You are responsible for your User Content. Do not submit content that you do not have the right to use or content that is illegal, harmful, infringing, deceptive, or abusive.
Avoid submitting highly sensitive information unless it is necessary for your use of the service. Do not submit Social Security numbers, government identification numbers, banking credentials, full payment card numbers, medical records, or other highly sensitive information unless we explicitly request it through a secure flow.
8. AI-generated and assisted content
LAYIQ may generate summaries, fit assessments, job-search suggestions, cover-letter drafts, resume-positioning suggestions, and other AI-assisted outputs.
AI-assisted output may be incomplete, inaccurate, outdated, or unsuitable for your circumstances. You are responsible for reviewing and editing outputs before using them. You should verify job details, employer information, compensation, requirements, deadlines, and application instructions directly with the employer or official source.
LAYIQ does not guarantee that AI-generated materials are unique, error-free, legally compliant, or effective for any specific job application.
9. Acceptable use
You agree not to:
- violate applicable laws or third-party rights;
- use LAYIQ to harass, deceive, spam, scrape, or harm others;
- interfere with, overload, reverse engineer, or attack the service;
- bypass plan limits, access controls, account restrictions, or security protections;
- use automated scripts or bots except as expressly allowed by LAYIQ;
- submit malicious code, harmful content, or unlawful content;
- resell, sublicense, or commercially exploit LAYIQ without written permission;
- use LAYIQ to make employment, credit, housing, insurance, or other regulated decisions about other people.
10. Third-party services
LAYIQ may use third-party providers for authentication, payments, hosting, analytics, AI services, email, security, and other functions. Your use of third-party services may also be subject to those providers’ terms and policies.
LAYIQ may link to employer websites, job boards, applicant tracking systems, or other third-party sites. We do not control those sites and are not responsible for their content, availability, accuracy, policies, or practices.
11. Intellectual property
LAYIQ and its software, design, branding, workflows, documentation, and related materials are owned by Roleworthy Labs Inc. or its licensors. These Terms do not give you ownership of LAYIQ intellectual property.
You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, lease, reverse engineer, or create derivative works from LAYIQ except as allowed by law or with written permission.
12. Preview and experimental features
Some LAYIQ features may be labeled preview, experimental, Coming Soon, or otherwise limited. These features may change, break, be removed, or be unavailable without notice.
13. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, share, and protect information. By using LAYIQ, you agree that we may process information as described in the Privacy Policy.
14. Service availability
We work to keep LAYIQ reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. The service may be unavailable due to maintenance, errors, provider outages, security issues, or factors outside our control.
15. Disclaimers
LAYIQ is provided “as is” and “as available.” To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, accuracy, availability, and error-free operation.
We do not warrant that LAYIQ will find every relevant job, accurately evaluate every job, generate perfect content, prevent mistakes, or produce any hiring outcome.
16. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent allowed by law, Roleworthy Labs Inc. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, including lost profits, lost opportunities, lost data, job-search outcomes, or business interruption.
To the fullest extent allowed by law, our total liability for any claim related to LAYIQ will not exceed the greater of: (a) the amount you paid to LAYIQ in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim, or (b) $100.
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these limits may not apply to you.
17. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Roleworthy Labs Inc. from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your use of LAYIQ, your User Content, your violation of these Terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
18. Termination
You may stop using LAYIQ at any time. We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms, create security or operational risk, fail to pay, or use the service in a harmful or unlawful way.
Termination does not automatically entitle you to a refund.
19. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will take reasonable steps to notify users. Your continued use of LAYIQ after changes become effective means you accept the updated Terms.
20. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, except where applicable law requires otherwise.
