Job Description
The Low Voltage Infrastructure Team within the Embedded Platform Systems & Infrastructure organization is focused on the development of systems, software and controls centered around on-vehicle low voltage power generation, energy storage, power management, distribution, and consumption control.
There is no better time to join this newly formed team as we evolve to the next generation of low voltage power architectures and consumption control strategies in GM's future Electrical Architecture!
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Lead Calibration Engineer to join GM's Low Voltage Infrastructure group. This role serves as the Low Voltage Ecosystem Champion, driving system performance quality, calibration consistency, and cross-program alignment.
The engineer will act as the single point of contact to program teams, compile full LVI calibration scripts, advise calibration engineers, manage the calibration fleet, lead issue resolution efforts, and support simulation and agile development through story decomposition.
This position supports Electric Power System calibrations across all GM vehicles, with a focus on delivering robust and high-performing Low Voltage Infrastructure (LVI) features. The ideal candidate will take full ownership of LVI feature performance and ecosystem health status, ensuring functionality, reliability, and resilience in areas such as low voltage setpoint control, battery saver modes, and load management.
This role requires initiative, technical depth, and leadership to drive institutional improvements and influence calibration strategy across platforms.
Beyond technical expertise, we are looking for a well-rounded, high-energy individual who thrives in collaborative environments and can inspire cross-functional teams. Success in this role hinges on strong communication skills, the ability to balance strategic vision with hands-on execution, and a passion for driving innovation in simulation, lab, and vehicle environments. If you're ready to lead the charge in shaping GM’s future low voltage systems, we want to hear from you.
Master’s degree in Engineering.
Four or more years of hands-on experience in calibration engineering.
DFSS Black Belt Certification.
Experience providing technical direction and mentorship to other engineers.
Demonstrated ability to identify and remove roadblocks to maintain momentum and meet program goals.
Experience working with Hardware-in-the-Loop (HIL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SIL) test benches.
Familiarity with low voltage electric power control features and systems.
Prior leadership in program-level calibration delivery or feature release.

This role is categorized as hybrid. This means the selected candidate is expected to report to a specific location at least 3 times a week {or other frequency dictated by their manager}.

Relocation benefits are available for candidates who qualify under company policy.
