Construction Manager
Project-Based (Wisconsin, Missouri, Wyoming, Texas, and future project locations)
Full-Time
Primarily Site-Based (Long-Term Project Assignments)
Lead the Development of World-Class Mission-Critical Infrastructure
The successful delivery of hyperscale data centers begins long before the first structural steel is erected. It starts with transforming greenfield sites into fully developed mission-critical campuses through large-scale earthwork, utility installation, infrastructure development, logistics planning, and operational execution.
Construction Managers play a critical role in leading these efforts, coordinating personnel, equipment, subcontractors, and resources across some of North America's largest and most complex infrastructure projects. This position is responsible for driving safe, efficient, and productive field operations while ensuring projects remain aligned with schedule, budget, quality, and customer expectations.
Michels Infrastructure Solutions (MIS) brings together the full capabilities of the Michels Family of Companies under a Super General Contractor (Super GC) model, providing mission-critical owners and developers with a single point of accountability for every phase of project execution. By combining self-performed specialty design, construction, and commissioning services, MIS delivers large-scale, multidisciplinary projects with greater control over safety, quality, schedule, and cost.
MIS specializes in the delivery of hyperscale data centers and mission-critical facilities, leveraging expertise across mass grading and site development, wet and dry utilities, fiber and telecommunications infrastructure, ground improvement, deep foundations, structural concrete, power infrastructure, and commissioning. Our integrated delivery approach enables customers to partner with a single-source team capable of executing some of North America's most complex and demanding infrastructure projects.

OSHA 30 certification or equivalent safety training required.
Fully qualified construction professional with demonstrated field leadership experience.
Experience managing large-scale site development, heavy civil, utility, industrial, mission-critical, power, EPC, or hyperscale data center construction projects.
Demonstrated experience overseeing mass earthwork, grading, underground utilities, infrastructure development, utility relocations, site logistics, power infrastructure, or related civil construction activities.
Experience supervising Superintendents, General Foremen, Foremen, subcontractors, and field crews.
Strong understanding of construction sequencing for greenfield developments, including earthwork operations, utility installation, access planning, equipment deployment, workforce management, and multi-discipline coordination.
Experience leading large field organizations consisting of Superintendents, Foremen, subcontractors, equipment fleets, and self-perform construction crews.
Experience reviewing production schedules, labor performance, work-in-progress reporting, daily field reports, grading quantities, utility production metrics, and project progress measurements.
Ability to partner effectively with Project Managers, Project Engineers, Estimators, Procurement teams, QA/QC personnel, Safety professionals, and executive leadership.
Experience supporting project pursuits, constructability reviews, estimating activities, and operational planning efforts preferred.
Competency with Microsoft Office Suite and construction management software such as Procore, Autodesk Construction Cloud, Primavera P6, InEight, HCSS, or similar platforms.
Strong leadership, organizational, communication, conflict resolution, and problem-solving skills.
Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
Ability to support long-term, site-based project assignments at hyperscale data center and mission-critical construction projects throughout North America. This position is primarily field-based, with the majority of work performed directly from active project sites. Initial project opportunities are expected to be located in Wisconsin, Missouri, Wyoming, and Texas, with future assignments determined by business needs and project awards.
