Job Description

Job Summary:

Under the general supervision of the Detector Production Manager, the Cleanroom Manufacturing Technician performs hands-on technical tasks in a cleanroom environment to support wafer fabrication and backside processing. This role involves operating and maintaining semiconductor processing equipment, monitoring workflows, and collaborating with other technicians and engineers to ensure high-quality production and continuous improvement.

This is a full-time, 2nd Shift position working Monday through Friday, 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, and includes a 10% shift differential in addition to your base hourly pay. To ensure a successful transition, comprehensive training will be provided on 1st Shift for approximately 8 to 12 weeks before moving to the regular 2nd Shift schedule.

Primary Duties & Responsibilities:

Perform detailed inspection and production tasks using microscopes at both seated and standing workstations.

Safely handle and work with manufacturing chemicals, solvents, and related process materials.

Operate and monitor vacuum deposition equipment, wet benches, and other semiconductor processing tools.

Enter and maintain production information, including travelers and work-in-process (WIP) tracking data.

Conduct measurements, collect process data, and accurately document inspection and production results to support process monitoring and quality requirements.

Maintain and update production records, including travelers and work-in-process (WIP) data, ensuring product traceability, data integrity, and compliance with quality standards.

Maintain accurate documentation to ensure product traceability, data integrity, and compliance with quality standards.

Collaborate and communicate effectively with technicians, engineers, and cross-functional operations teams.

Partner with Engineering to support process development, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.

Support 5S initiatives by promoting a clean, organized, and safe work environment.

Perform additional duties as assigned.

Job Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail
• Demonstrate fine motor skills and the ability to use small hand tools
• Able to read, write, and communicate effectively using the English language
• Able to read, interpret, and work from engineering documentation with minimal supervision
• Able to use a microscope to visually inspect small parts
• Basic computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office applications
• Must be able to use a microscope up to 8 hours a day
• Must be able to sit or stand for up to 8 hours a day
• Must be able to lift or carry up to 25 lbs., unassisted
• Must be able to push or pull up to 50 lbs., unassisted

Education and Experience:

• 3+ years of experience in a Manufacturing and/or Material environment
• Prior cleanroom experience (ISO Class 6 experience preferred)
• Prior microscope experience to perform detailed inspections and identify defects of small components
