From Hobbes's posting. “We” and “our” refer to the employer.
Most B2B websites put a form between a buyer and the product they want to understand. Hobbes lets that buyer start a conversation.
Hobbes is a self-improving, autonomous product expert that runs personalized product demos 24/7. Buyers can experience the product, ask specific questions, and take the next step without waiting for a salesperson.
Our agents use the product’s code as their source of truth, combined with sales context, customer materials, and live conversations. We call this Product Intelligence: understanding what a product does, how it works, and where its value lies. Every conversation also gives the company new insight into buyer questions, objections, feature requests, and implementation blockers—our Conversational Intelligence.
We’ve raised $6M and grown primarily through founder-led sales and inbound demand. Customers use Hobbes today to turn website traffic into qualified pipeline.
Demos are where we start. Our vision is the future of autonomous sales and self-improving products, with agent-to-agent sales, world models, and self-improving product feedback loops all in the works.
We’re hiring our first growth leader to turn early customer demand into a repeatable growth engine.
You’ll work directly with Chirag, our CEO, to define the category, sharpen our story, and make Hobbes easy for buyers to understand. You’ll own how that story reaches the market: our website, launches, customer proof, content, founder-led distribution, and growth experiments.
This is a hands-on founding role with broad ownership. You’ll write the core assets yourself, choose the tools, and build the first systems for generating qualified pipeline. As those systems start to work, you’ll help build the team around them.
You’ve been the first or an early growth or marketing hire at a B2B startup, ideally at seed to Series A, and have built a motion from the beginning.
You’re a strong writer who wants to do the work personally. You can turn a complex product into clear copy with a point of view.
You’ve owned pipeline or revenue outcomes and can explain what you did, what changed, and the numbers behind it.
You’re technically curious. You don’t need to be an engineer, but you want to understand codebases, agents, sandboxes, evaluations, and product architecture.
You understand how B2B buyers evaluate products that need explanation, and can turn a messy customer conversation into a useful market insight.
You have strong product and editorial judgment. You recognize vague copy, unnecessary cleverness, and campaigns without a real customer insight.
You’re comfortable setting priorities and operating as a one-person growth team for the first six months.
You want broad ownership across narrative, distribution, and pipeline, and enjoy working in person with a small team in San Francisco.
$180–300K.
Founding-caliber equity.
