Robotic System Integration Engineer

About Maven

Maven Robotics designs, builds, and deploys intelligent robotics for logistics and manufacturing. Maven is building the first general-purpose robotics system for industrial work. Our mission is to activate autonomous labor at scale and build toward infinitely elastic industrial capacity. We’re a team of engineers, researchers, and operators who have spent our careers working on the hardest problems in AI, robotics, engineering, and autonomous systems.

We work at the intersection of advanced research and real-world engineering, turning ideas into prototypes and deployed systems.

At Maven, we build around the realities of industrial work. The robots are designed from first principles for complex physical environments and rigorous commercial standards. They master real tasks that deliver immediate impact, industrial-grade reliability, and intelligence that compounds at scale. We’re growing an ambitious team of people who think in systems, move quickly, and are builders at heart.

About the Role

As a Robotics Systems Integration Engineer at Maven Robotics, you will play a key role in integrating, testing, and deploying our robotic systems in both lab and real-world environments. You’ll collaborate closely with the Controls, Hardware, and Autonomy teams to ensure seamless system integration, reliable operation, and optimal performance.

What You’ll Do

• Integrate and debug the robot power, actuation, wired/wireless network, and inertial/perception/force/torque/tactile sensing systems
• Diagnose and resolve robotic system hardware and software integration issues related to kinematics, dynamics, motion planning, perception, and control
• Develop and execute comprehensive test plans for full-robot systems and subsystems
• Work with suppliers and external partners to integrate third-party components.
• Deploy field applications, drive integration with customer side systems, and manage system level integration in order to deliver customer success
• Participate in code reviews, system design discussions, and continuous improvement initiatives
• Author and maintain documentation for system architecture, integration, and debugging procedures
• Contribute to defining integration best practices and improving development workflows

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Software, Automotive, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field
• Hands-on experience with industrial automation fieldbuses (e.g., EtherCAT, CANopen) and associated debugging tools
• Proven experience commissioning, troubleshooting, and optimizing robotic actuation systems
• Strong ability to gather requirements, design test systems, and develop and execute comprehensive test plans
• Proficiency in C++ and/or Python, with familiarity in version control tools (e.g., Git, GitHub)
• Self-motivated problem solver with strong analytical, troubleshooting, and prioritization skills
• Collaborative and adaptable team player who thrives in a fast-paced startup environment
• Nice to Have
• Proficiency with tools like ROS2, Docker, and Ubuntu Linux
• Experience deploying robotic solutions in production environments
• Hands on experience with algorithms for Perception, Motion Planning, Manipulation, or Robot Learning
• Equal Opportunity
• Maven Robotics is an equal opportunity employer. We celebrate diversity and are committed to creating an inclusive environment for all employees.
