Who You Are

At Justworks, we empower small businesses and entrepreneurs to thrive. As Social Media Lead, your role is to bring the stories of our company, products, customers and leaders to life and shape how the Justworks’ brand shows up across social platforms.

You’ll be part of the Strategic Communications team, helping to craft and execute a forward-thinking social media strategy across corporate and priority executive channels. You’ll translate corporate, brand and product priorities into compelling content and campaigns that connect with our audiences, build influence, and help grow the Justworks brand.

What You Will Work On

Develop and Execute Social Media Strategy:

Lead an organic social media strategy that advances Justworks’ corporate, brand, product, marketing priorities,  establishing clear channel roles, editorial direction, and publishing cadence.

Content Creation & Executive Platforms:

Develop distinctive, on-brand content for Justworks and a focused group of priority executives across platforms including Linkedin, Instagram, X, and more. Own the editorial calendar, scheduling and publishing while creating differentiated plans for company and executive channels..

Community & InfluencerEngagement:

Build relationships with key audiences, identify opportunities to activate relevant creators and influencers, and use community engagement to extend our reach, enter new conversations, and grow Justworks’ influence.

Rapid Response & Social Listening:

Monitor social platforms for emerging issues, trends and opportunities, coordinate timely responses and use social listening to inform content, executive positioning,and reputation management.

Collaboration & Creative Direction:

Partner with Creative, Brand, Growth Marketing, Product Marketing, and Strategic Communications to translate campaigns, launches, earned-media moments, and research into compelling social content. Develop clear briefs and provide actionable creative direction.

Analytics, Tools, & Optimization:

Measure and report on company and executive social performance, translating audience and cultural insights into recommendations that improve content, engagement, and channel strategy while testing tools and emerging formats.

How You Will Do Your Work

As Social Media Lead, how results are achieved is paramount for your success. The creation of an effective organic social system and scalable processes is critical for this role, as is working cross-functionally across Marketing – including Communications, Content – and other parts of the company, including People andSales. Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of proven experience in social media strategy, brand storytelling, product content , and community management  in-house B2B, SAAS, and/or tech experience preferred))
• Experience building integrated social strategies and campaigns across corporate, brand, product, and executive priorities A resume or portfolio demonstrating strong creative concepts, distinctive platform-native content and an ability to push brands beyond conventional approaches
• Experience translating campaigns, product launches, customer stories, executive perspectives and earned-media moments into compelling social content
• Strong understanding of how creators, influencers and community engagement can help brands reach new audiences and build influence
• Strong editorial and creative judgement, with the ability to balance bold ideas, cultural relevance, brand standards and business objectives
• Experience with scheduling, social listening, and analytics tools including Sprout Social and Meltwater
• Eager to stay up to date on social media trends, best practices, and technology updates including new platforms, features, and toolsSolution-oriented “get to yes” attitude and extreme attention to detail
• Proven success as a team player and creative collaborator
• Ability to advise senior stakeholders and develop practical guidance that helps executives communicate effectively on social platforms.
• The base wage range for this position based in our New York City Office is targeted at $147,000.00 - $190,000.00 per year.
• Actual compensation is based on multiple factors that are unique to each candidate, including and not limited to skill set, level of relevant experience, and specific work location.
• Salary ranges for positions based in other locations may differ based on the cost of labor in that location.
