Shear Operator to join our production team. This role is responsible for operating metal shearing equipment to cut steel to precise customer specifications while maintaining accuracy, quality, and a safe working environment.

Job Function

Key Responsibilities

• Shear Machine Operation
• — Set up, operate, and monitor shear equipment to cut steel sheets, plates, or coils to required dimensions.
• Material Handling
• — Safely load and unload steel using overhead cranes, forklifts, or other material‑handling equipment.
• Quality Inspection
• — Measure and inspect finished pieces to ensure accuracy and compliance with customer specifications.
• Equipment Setup
• — Adjust blades, back gauges, and machine settings based on job requirements.
• Safety Compliance
• — Follow all company and OSHA safety procedures, including PPE use and safe material‑handling practices.
• Production Documentation
• — Record production data, material usage, and job completion details accurately.
• Machine Maintenance
• — Perform basic cleaning, lubrication, and routine checks to keep equipment in good working condition.
