The Work

The Manager, Paid Social, is a subject matter expert on the Performance Marketing team, combining exceptional knowledge of Paid Social strategy, an inquisitive and analytical mindset and a passion for data driven marketing to accelerate the growth of Everyday Banking products (ex. Deposits, Credit Cards, Lending). This hands-on role will manage a minimum of two personal banking product full funnel campaigns within Meta, Reddit, Tik Tok, Pinterest and emerging channels.

The Manager will have the capacity to support team members (Specialists, Associate Managers, and Sr. Managers) on day-to-day optimizations and longer-term projects that contribute to hitting business KPI’s, including volume targets, cost to acquire, and customer lifetime value.

The Core Responsibilities: Create, execute & optimize digital marketing strategies across paid channels, with a primary focus on paid social, to drive meet/exceed acquisition targets.

Dive into business performance data to understand key customer segments and the right messaging to convert them.

Work with multiple ad platforms such as Meta, Pinterest, TikTok, Reddit, etc.

Work within analytics & reporting platforms such as GA4 & Google Data Studio, to find insights, create automated reports and discuss performance with business lines.

Work cross-functionally with various experts across the business, including Product Marketing, Acquisition Targeting and Business Portfolio teams, to develop hypothesis-based tests that include audience segmentation, creative, thorough tracking/measurement strategies & can be scaled once validated.

Implement enhanced conversions to harness our first party data to bid effectively on business outcomes.

Create and implement testing opportunities to showcase value add of paid social to the overall business.

Collaborate with Performance Marketing team members to share knowledge and ensure the progress of our centre of excellence.

Work with cross-functional data analysts to develop reports and insights for key business stakeholders.

Regularly present findings and make recommendations based on campaign/test performance.

Let's Talk About You: Post-secondary degree/diploma in a related field (Business, Marketing, Advertising).

Prior work experience in Credit Card, or Everyday Banking acquisition is required.

3-5 years of experience in a Paid Social role.

Hands-on experience in social ad platforms, including Meta, Reddit & Tik Tok.

An analytical thinker with an ability to effectively turn reporting and analysis into. actionable insights and execution plans.

Ability to develop a POV and implications based on data, and present findings to key stakeholders.

Collaborative and positive attitude with passion for questioning assumptions and answering questions with data, to unlock value for the enterprise.

Amazing work ethic, self-directed, proactive and able to define and execute projects independently.

Strong in Excel and reporting automation / experience using Business Intelligence tools (Tableau, Google Data Studio or equivalent).

Excellent time management skills, with the ability to prioritize and multi-task, and work under shifting deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Possess a passion for the paid social ecosystem and a deep knowledge of its available tools and creative best practices.
