From The Health Management Academy's posting. “We” and “our” refer to the employer.
The Health Management Academy (THMA) brings together health system leaders and innovators to collectively address the industry’s biggest challenges and opportunities. By assisting executives in cultivating peer networks, understanding key strategic trends, establishing pragmatic partnerships, and developing next-generation leaders, our members are better positioned to lead industry transformation.
The Health Management Academy offers a dynamic atmosphere with significant opportunities for employees. If you are interested in contributing to a member-centric, creative, and collaborative workforce while deeply influencing top leaders and institutions in healthcare, THMA could be the right place for you!
Reporting to the SVP, Peer Learning, Partnerships & Leadership Development, the Director/Senior Director of Recruitment plays a pivotal role in driving growth across The Health Management Academy’s Convening portfolio. This leader will design and execute strategies to re-engage inactive or lightly engaged members while also driving the acquisition of new member systems. The Director/Sr.
Director will be accountable for clearly articulating and tracking progress against recruitment goals, leveraging a combination of relationship-building, strategic insight, and data-driven follow-through.
The ideal candidate is someone who builds trust quickly, communicates clearly, and manages relationships with rigor and accountability. Success depends on a deep understanding of member value, a consultative mindset, and the ability to align member needs with THMA’s offerings.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and Execute a Recruitment Strategy: Build and implement comprehensive plans to increase attendance and engagement across assigned programs—targeting both reactivation of existing members and recruitment of new systems.
Drive Measurable Growth: Own performance metrics related to confirmations, attendance, and member conversion within your designated territory. Regularly report progress, challenges, and strategic pivots to leadership.
Re-Engage Disengaged Members: Identify patterns of inactivity or attrition and develop tailored re-engagement plans, leveraging warm outreach, personalized messaging, and onsite touchpoints to rebuild value perception.
Acquire New Members: Build and maintain a robust pipeline of prospective systems, utilizing creative sourcing methods, warm referrals, and thought leadership content to expand reach within the CXO market.
Build Executive Relationships: Establish trust-based relationships with senior health system leaders through consultative dialogue, active listening, and a clear articulation of THMA’s value proposition.
Engage Members In-Person (THMA Events, External Conferences & Site Visits): Represent THMA at assigned forums, select industry conferences and travel for on-site meetings with member and prospect executives to deepen relationships, surface priorities in real time, and drive re-engagement and conversion.
Collaborate Across Convening Teams: Partner with Forum Directors, Member Success Associates, and other internal stakeholders to ensure smooth hand-offs, consistent communication, and strong member experiences.
Leverage Market Insight: Stay current on industry priorities and organizational shifts within health systems to anticipate member needs and position THMA strategically in the market.
Compensation
$130,000 — $140,000 USD
