Team Lead, Display and Video Marketing

As Team Lead of Display & Video Marketing, you will take ownership of a critical execution function within the Display & Video Marketing team within the HelloFresh Group’s US portfolio of brands (HelloFresh, Factor, Green Chef, EveryPlate). You will also lead a small team of Specialists across paid programmatic Display & Video user acquisition.

Your primary mission will be to drive channel performance across YouTube, Google Demand Gen, and non-Google programmatic display & video channels— whilst developing your team and building the processes that make our Display & Video marketing operation more efficient and scalable.

This is a role for someone ready to step up from expert individual contributor to first-line people leader. You will be accountable for results, energized by coaching others, and rigorous enough to hold the bar on data quality, testing discipline, and creative execution.

Above all, we are looking for someone driven to make HelloFresh better. We firmly believe that skills are developed through diverse experiences and unique pathways. Therefore, even if your background doesn't "tick every box" but you are confident you would excel in this role, we strongly encourage you to apply and share your story with us.

What you'll do:

• Lead and develop a team of Display & Video specialists, providing regular 1:1s, clear performance feedback, and visible growth opportunities.
• Own the setup, management, and day-to-day optimization of Display & Video campaigns across YouTube, Google Demand Gen, and additional non-Google programmatic channels (Amazon DSP, AppLovin, The Trade Desk, etc.), ensuring KPIs are met and budgets are paced efficiently across markets.
• Drive a structured testing agenda — running A/B tests and audience segmentation experiments across CPAs, ROAS, and retention metrics, and translating results into repeatable playbooks.
• Partner cross-functionally with CRO, Creative, Brand, and Product teams to ensure a seamless user journey from click to first subscription.
• Work closely with the Tracking and Creative Teams to launch new partners.
• Coordinate aligned messaging across ad creative alongside the Brand and Creative production teams, leading a continuous feedback loop of testing and learning, collaborating closely with the Brand team and relevant Performance Marketing channels.
• Collaborate with the Marketing Analytics and AdTech teams to support the integration of display & video marketing data into Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) and other core measurement frameworks.
• Identify and close technical or setup gaps that impede channel efficiency, partnering with Product and Tech stakeholders where needed.
• Maintain team documentation, reporting dashboards, and marketing calendars to ensure the Display & Video Marketing team operates efficiently and at scale.

What you'll bring:

• We evaluate performance and potential through our What & How framework — looking at both what you deliver and how you show up to deliver it.
• 5–7 years of professional experience in digital marketing, with at least 2–3 years focused on display and/or video-based acquisition media
• Proven hands-on experience managing campaigns in Google Ads, Amazon DSP, AppLovin), at meaningful scale
• Experience line-managing or formally mentoring direct reports, with a demonstrated ability to coach, develop, and hold a team to a high standard.
• Strong understanding of tracking and reporting platforms such as GA4.
• Comfortable interpreting performance data across BI tools (Looker, Tableau) and campaign platforms to generate actionable insights — and communicating them clearly to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Track record of building and running structured experimentation programs (incrementality testing, creative testing) and translating test results into scalable, repeatable approaches.
• You bring an ownership mindset: you take accountability for your team's results, make data-driven decisions, and proactively close gaps without waiting to be asked.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills — you can align cross-functional stakeholders, represent your team in senior forums, and build trust across the organization.
• A genuine team player who values diversity of thought and actively fosters an inclusive, high-performance culture.
• Preferred: Experience in a B2C subscription or e-commerce environment.
• Familiarity with programmatic display & video platforms (Google Ads, Amazon DSP, The Trade Desk, AppLovin, etc.)
• Exposure to Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM) or incrementality measurement methodologies.
• Interest in automation or workflow tooling (e.g., Claude, Gemini, reporting automation, Google Ads Scripts).
• You’ll get: Competitive salary and 401(k) with company match (vesting immediately upon participation)
• Generous PTO policy and 4 weeks of parental leave
• $0 monthly premium and flexible health plans starting on day one
• 85% discount on your HelloFresh subscription and other product offerings
• A collaborative, dynamic work environment within a fast-paced, mission-driven company
• This job description is intended to provide a general overview of the responsibilities. However, the Company reserves the right to adjust, modify, or reassign work tasks and responsibilities as needed to meet changing business needs, operational requirements, or other factors.
