Job Summary

We are seeking an entry-level  Accountant to join our finance team. This position is ideal for a recent accounting or finance graduate, or a candidate with early-career accounting experience, who is eager to learn, detail-oriented, and comfortable working in a fast-paced business environment. The Staff Accountant will support general accounting activities, account reconciliations, month-end close, payroll-related accounting, tax filings, and audit requests. This position reports to the Accounting Manager.

Function in the Job

Sedentary Work- Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally, and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time. Jobs are sedentary if walking and standing are required only occasionally, and all other sedentary criteria are met.

Job Function

· Assist with month-end and year-end close activities, including preparation of supporting schedules and documentation.

· Prepare routine journal entries and assist with maintaining accruals and other general ledger activity.

· Prepare and maintain account reconciliations for assigned general ledger accounts.

· Assist with payroll-related general ledger reconciliations and follow-up on reconciling items.

· Support preparation and filing of business licenses, personal property tax returns, and related compliance items.

· Provide documentation and support for internal and external audit requests.

· Research and resolve basic accounting questions with guidance from the Accounting Manager or senior accounting staff.

· Maintain accurate records and follow established accounting procedures and internal controls.

· Provide ad hoc support to the accounting team as needed.

· All other duties and responsibilities assigned by management.

• Required Skills
• · Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field required
• · Internship, coursework, or up to two years of accounting experience preferred
• · Basic understanding of accounting principles and general ledger activity
• · Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel
• · Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
• · Ability to manage confidential information with integrity
• · Strong organizational, communication, and problem-solving skills

Qualifications
