Starting Pay:

$31.00/hour, with potential for higher pay based on experience. 2nd shift includes an additional $3.00/hour differential.

Position Overview

We are looking for a detail-oriented quality inspector to evaluate structural steel fabrication in an AISC-certified facility. Experienced senior-level structural steel fitters and fabricators with strong quality inspection skills are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities: Inspect structural steel components throughout fabrication and upon completion.

Identify, document, and report nonconformances in accordance with AWS D1.1 and D1.5 standards.

Compare fabricated materials with shop drawings and project specifications.

Perform in-process and final quality checks, including dimensional layout and part placement.

Assist with annual AISC quality control audits.

Collaborate with production teams to investigate and resolve quality concerns.

Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and fabrication process consistency.

Qualifications: 3–5 years of experience in structural steel layout and fabrication.

Ability to read and interpret fabrication and construction drawings.

Strong understanding of structural steel fabrication practices and quality standards.

Welding certification in AWS D1.1 and/or D1.5 is preferred.

Strong attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies.

Schedule: 1st and 2nd shift opportunities available.

Saturday overtime available.

Compensation: Starting base pay of $31.00/hour; higher pay may be available depending on experience.

Additional $3.00/hour differential for 2nd shift.
