New Matters Specialist

Mid-size law firm with 26 offices nationwide is looking for a motivated self-starter who is detail-oriented and well-organized to help on our New Matters team with the process of opening new files and running conflict searches.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• · Setting up new files in the billing system for all offices nationwide
• · Review new intake forms for accuracy and completion
• · Following up on missing or inaccurate forms
• · Reviewing engagement letters
• · Preparing and distributing correspondence related to the new matter. Update existing file set up information as needed

· Working with other staff members, such as paralegals and attorneys, to ensure a smooth transition into the new case.

· Back up coverage for processing requests for conflicts searches

· Assist with projects as needed and other duties as assigned

Requirements

• · Proficiency in Microsoft office
• · Strong attention to detail and proofreading necessary
• · Excellent time management and judgement skills
• · Ability to work well in a team environment and independently
• · Ability to handle a large volume of work while ensuring a high level of accuracy
• · Able to manage multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities
• · Strong organizational and critical thinking skills
• · Effective verbal and written communication skills
• · Previous work history in a law firm setting is beneficial, but not required.
• · Must be committed to providing superior customer service to attorneys while producing a high-quality work product
• · Maintaining confidentiality of client information is paramount.
• · Experience running conflict checks is a plus
• · Experience with Juris or Aderant is a plus

• Salary: $48,000 - $60,000
