Barnes Jewish Hospital to make a direct impact on patient care and operations.
This position the employee receives all specimens that are dropped off into the lab; they are then scanned in or registered and then took to the proper place in the lab to be processed. This position also will centrifuge and aliquot specimens. May draw blood occassionally from pediatric patients, so phlebotomy experience is strongly preferred.
Full Time
- 40 Hours Per Week, M-F, every 3rd weekend + holiday rotation
Evening Shif t: 12pm-830pm

Responsibilities
- Perform phlebotomy, positive patient identification, and positive patient interaction, proper collection and specimen integrity.
- Coordinates a simultaneous series of tasks accurately, including STAT orders and fluctuation in workload, prioritizing work to complete within scheduled hours and established turnaround times.
- Interacts with lab, clinical and other ancillary departments.
