Customer Success Manager, Finance & Accounting

What We Do

• Rillet serves accounting and finance teams, the financial brains of their companies. Our job is to help them run the numbers with impossible speed, accuracy, and insight.
• Rillet is the Agentic ERP built for modern finance teams. We help companies automate the most critical parts of finance, from closing the books and recognizing revenue to consolidating entities and reporting to investors. More than 600 companies run on Rillet, including Mercor, Scribe, and Function Health, and we partner with leading accounting firms including EY and KPMG.
• We’re building in one of the largest software markets in the world, with the momentum to match. Rillet has raised more than $200M, is valued at $1B, and is backed by Sequoia, a16z, ICONIQ, Bain Capital Ventures, Oak HC/FT, and other leading investors. We’re using that backing to build the financial infrastructure for the next generation of companies and help every business run its numbers at the speed of AI.
• Who We Are
• Rillet’s pace is not for everyone. Intelligence is table stakes. To succeed here, you need extreme speed, agency, and flexibility.
• The people who thrive at Rillet do not wait for assignments. They internalize the mission, design a strategy, and bring back results that are better, faster, and more creative than a manager could have asked for.
• Our work revolves around our customers. The people who succeed here are energized by delivering what matters most, even when it was not part of the original plan.
• Rillet is built on deep accounting expertise, and it takes people from many disciplines to build a category-defining company. You do not need to be an accountant to thrive here. You do need to care deeply about the problems we solve and the impact our customers can create. Together, we combine the precision of accounting with the speed, creativity, and ambition of AI-native software to power the financial core of the world’s fastest-growing companies while redefining what finance teams should expect from their software.
• Who We Need
• We’re looking for Customer Success Managers from AI companies who know what it takes to get customers to trust and depend on AI. You’ve managed a mid-market and enterprise book, helped customers adopt entirely new ways of working, and moved them from pilot to production. At Rillet, you’ll join a growing Customer Success team supporting hundreds of finance teams. You’ll partner with CFOs, Controllers, and their accounting teams to help them get the full value of an AI-native ERP: automating the close, putting AI agents to work on revenue recognition and reporting, and finding new ways for their teams to work faster and smarter. You don’t need an accounting background; you need to know how to drive AI adoption with demanding executive buyers and turn a powerful platform into measurable results for your customers.
• We're primarily looking for teammates who are based near our New York City or San Francisco offices, or open to relocating. For this role, we're also open to remote candidates based anywhere in the United States. Our hybrid schedule brings office-based team members together in person on Tuesdays and Thursdays, plus one additional flexible day each week. Some roles may spend more time in the office depending on the needs of the team.

What You'll Do

• Own customer relationships and outcomes: Build deep, multi-threaded relationships across a portfolio of mid-market and enterprise customers. Run success plans, executive business reviews, and recurring meetings so customers get the most out of Rillet.
• Be a builder: Don’t just surface customer problems, solve them. Turn customers’ business and workflow challenges into automated solutions powered by Rillet’s AI, often shipping real product improvements for your accounts within hours of the ask. You don’t need an engineering background, just strong product judgment and the instinct to reach for the tools instead of the ticket queue.
• Bridge product and customer needs: Connect what the product can do with what customers need, so solutions work in the real world.
• Drive adoption, retention, and expansion: Lead trainings to keep customers enabled on the platform. Advise on process optimization, find expansion opportunities, and own renewal health.
• Cross-functional collaboration: Bring front-line customer feedback to founders and Product in close to real time, triage support issues with Engineering, and ensure smooth account handoffs with Implementation.
• Become a Product Expert: Develop deep expertise in Rillet’s AI-native platform and stay current on the latest features and functionality.
• Represent Rillet: You’ll be the face of the company. You’ll bring strong customer empathy and structured problem-solving to make every customer interaction a great one.
• Who We're Looking For 3+ years of Customer Success experience managing mid-market and enterprise customers at an AI-native company or a fintech, ERP, or accounting software company
• A track record of driving retention, adoption, and expansion across a complex customer portfolio.
• AI fluency: you use AI tools in your daily work, understand what they can and can't do, and can confidently explain AI-powered workflows to customers.
• Comfort working with executive stakeholders and running strategic conversations such as EBRs, success planning, and escalations.
• A technical mindset: you're comfortable configuring software, learning complex B2B SaaS products quickly, and turning customer requirements into workflows.
• Bias to action, ownership mindset, and high attention to detail in a fast-moving environment.
