Direct Support Professional / Caregiver

Would you like to give compassionate care to clients with intellectual and developmental disabilities in the comfort of their own homes? To qualify for this position, you must have at least one year of verifiable work experience with individuals who have intellectual/developmental disabilities.

We have current Direct Support Professional / Caregiver openings in the following locations:

Hickory, Conover, Newton, and the surrounding area.

Afternoon, evenings, and weekend shifts available.

Pay: $15/hr.

Qualifications for Our Direct Support Professionals (DSP):

• One or more years of experience working with intellectual and development disabilities (If you do not have this experience, training may be available through our apprentice program)
• High school diploma or equivalent (GED) required.
• While we will complete education verification as part of the hiring process, providing a copy of your diploma, GED certificate, or certified/sealed transcripts can help prevent delays if records are difficult to obtain.
• 18 years of age or older
• Job Responsibilities of Direct Support Professionals / Caregivers: Provide personal care assistance (dressing, grooming, etc.)
• Accompany clients on errands and appointments.
• Assist with everyday tasks, such as meal preparation.
• Participate in community integration activities.
• Ability to work independently in a client’s home/community
