Hi, I’m Brayden, co-founder of Sola. We’re a venture-backed insurance startup with a team of 24 in Atlanta, and I’m leading the hiring for our Head of Growth.

Most insurance companies grow by buying attention and hoping the product holds up afterward. We built Sola the other way around: insurance you never have to fight. We started with wind and hail, using weather data to determine claims and avoid fraud. We pay in a few days, and we’re transparent when something isn’t covered. Just look at our Trustpilot.

Everything we do comes back to two words: make good. We make good products and we make good on our promises. That’s how we’ve partnered with thousands of independent agencies, almost all through inbound.

Insurance is one of the largest industries in the world, and the GTM motion with agencies has barely changed in decades. As our first growth leader, you’d get to reinvent it.

About the Role

You’ll own how Sola grows, from the first time an agent hears our name to the day they’re quoting us every week and sending other agents our way. Almost all of our growth so far has been inbound. You’ll work directly with our CEO, Head of Sales, and Head of Finance to build the engine that takes us from thousands of agencies to tens of thousands.

Your job is to make growth something we build on purpose. Find agencies that share our values, reach them, get them to a first quote fast, and turn our best partners into our best recruiters. We don’t say yes to every agency, so growth here means more of the right ones. This isn’t a traditional marketing role. You’ll think like a product person and execute like an operator.

We run Sola on numbers. You’ll own the metrics that matter: agencies appointed, time to first quote, agencies quoting every week, premium per agency, CAC, and payback. Not lead counts and impressions.

You’re joining while we’re still small enough for your decisions to shape the whole function. We’ll trust you to make decisions using your experience and the data. You’ll have the authority to act, responsibility for the results, and equity in the business you help build.

What You’ll Do

• Own the funnel.
• Own every stage from first touch to first policy and repeat business. Find where agencies stall and fix it with our Head of Sales.
• Run experiments.
• Test channels, messaging, onboarding, paid, SEO, email, and events. Kill what fails and scale what works.
• Build the referral engine.
• Turn our best agents into our best recruiters. Build local events and partnerships with agencies and associations.
• Make Sola easy to sell.
• Write clear messaging for agents and homeowners, and build the materials our sales team uses.
• Own the numbers.
• Build attribution, CAC, and the weekly dashboard the founders review. Tie every channel back to revenue.
• Build with AI.
• Use Cursor or another coding IDE to ship automations and internal tools.
• Build the team.
• Start hands on, then hire and lead the growth function.
