The purpose of the Branch Intern role at the Company is to provide upcoming graduates with immersive, hands-on learning experience in the facets of our distribution center’s culture, service, sales, and operations, with a focus on the distribution of roofing materials and building commodities.
Specifically, the intern will participate in daily operations, engage in customer service, perform tasks related to product handling, and shadow sales meetings, more efficiently nurturing their profound developmental knowledge in Business, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales or Management to potentially join the Company's full-time Management Trainee Program post-graduation.
The successful candidate is expected to exhibit exemplary work ethics, teamwork, leadership, and academic performance, and is dedicated to committing over 10 weeks on-site, sharing their project insights with company executives during their program culmination, showcasing their improved industrial distribution skills, advanced business strategies, heightened organization and time management capabilities, and their increased aptitude for this line of profession.
Please note that all preferred qualifications are in addition to the fundamental prerequisites defined in the Internship Requirements section. These preferred qualifications attempt to describe the ideal candidates, but all applicants with the required qualifications referenced above are encouraged to apply.
The Minimum Education requirement for this position is that candidates must be current students, slated to graduate within 2 semesters after the internship. Majors in Business, Industrial Distribution, Supply Chain, Operations, Sales, Management or related fields are preferred.
The role of Branch Intern at the Company adheres to a flexible professional development prerequisite. Candidates selected for this position do not necessarily require any years of prior work experience. Instead, we place higher emphasis on an intern's aptitude for learning, demonstrated work ethic, and an interest in the distribution sector. As such, our recruitment approach is more focused on observance of proven team involvement, leadership positions in school or at work, and exceptional references.
