About the role:

Reporting to our Head of Corporate Development, you'll be a core member of Nirvana's newly formed Corporate Development team, supporting M&A, strategic investments, and partnerships across the insurance value chain. You'll work closely with Strategic Finance, Insurance and Claims leadership, and your work will directly inform executive and board-level decisions.

This is a high-visibility role for someone who wants hands-on deal experience at a fast-growing InsureTech company and the chance to take on more ownership as the function grows.

What you'll do:

• Build and maintain financial models to evaluate acquisitions, investments, and strategic partnerships, including valuation, returns, and scenario analysis
• Support due diligence processes across financial, commercial, and operational workstreams, coordinating with internal teams and outside advisors
• Track the deal pipeline and sourcing initiatives
• , including market mapping and target screening across the MGA, claims, and data sectors
• Prepare materials and analysis for executive and board-level discussions, including investment memos and transaction summaries
• Support deal execution from initial evaluation through closing, helping manage timelines, diligence requests, and integration planning

About you:

• 2+ years of experience in investment banking, private equity, corporate development, or a related field
• Strong financial modeling and analytical skills, with experience evaluating complex transaction opportunities
• Familiarity with financial services or FinTech is a plus; insurance or InsureTech experience is a bonus
• Able to turn complex analysis into clear, concise materials for senior audiences
• Highly organized and detail-oriented, comfortable managing multiple workstreams at once
• Strong communication skills, both written & verbal
• Self-starter who independently seeks out opportunities to learn & succeed
• Bias-to-action: not afraid to get your hands dirty and stretch yourself
• Owner mentality: takes accountability for actions and results
• Thrives in high-growth, ambiguous startup environments
• Able to work full-time in our San Francisco office
