OPEN Data Jobs (ODJ) is built to craft data careers. We connect high-potential data, AI, and software professionals with meaningful work on the cutting edge of the federal sector, and our aim reaches beyond any single opening: to help you understand your strengths, find the right role, and grow throughout your career.
ODJ is organized around Roles and Openings. A Role is a durable career type, such as Data Engineer or AI Engineer: it describes the work, the skills that count, and where the path can lead. An Opening is a specific position hiring right now, with a level, a location, and an application. Roles help you see where you fit; from there, there is more than one way to move.
Today, you can apply to any Opening that fits you through our secure application system. You can also register for a Role to express interest in that broader category of work. A Role registration is not an application to every future Opening.
The work
Project Coordinators keep federal programs moving. They build and maintain the schedule, track action items and deliverables, prepare the meetings and briefings where decisions get made, and follow every open item through to done, so that program leaders, subject-matter experts, and delivery teams can stay focused on the substance.
The work sits close to senior leaders. Project Coordinators support program and project managers and work alongside executives, such as chief data officers, and subject-matter experts. They turn discussions into agendas, notes, status reports, and presentation decks, and they keep risks, issues, and dependencies visible before they become problems. Few jobs teach you as quickly how a program, and the mission behind it, actually works.
Program schedules, action-item logs, and deliverable trackers that people trust, coordinated around contract deliverables, reviews, and briefings so the work arrives complete and on time.
Agendas, read-ahead materials, notes, and follow-up that prepare meetings and briefings and make their decisions stick.
Status reports and presentation decks that turn a complex discussion into a clear picture for senior readers.
Risk, issue, and dependency logs that surface problems early, with a proposed way forward.
Organized project records, in SharePoint or the program's own tools, that let anyone find what was decided and why.
Who you are
You are reliable, and what you commit to gets done, on time, without a reminder. You learn fast, you are curious about how things work and why, and you want to excel.
You are courageous but congenial. You will raise a problem with a senior leader, and you will do it in a way that helps. You keep many moving parts visible at once, and you stay calm when they all move together.
Openings may support data platform modernization, analytics, governance, financial markets or regulatory programs, artificial intelligence adoption, or portfolios that combine several of these. Some may call for knowledge of finance or a particular federal mission, a specific scheduling or collaboration tool, or a project management certification.
Specific openings will state the expected program scale, experience level, tools, certifications, work location, citizenship, work authorization, background, suitability, clearance, and domain knowledge.
