Over the course of the interns’ time at Huntington, they gain exposure to key business functions across all segments of the organization. An intern’s experience should be focused on professional growth, skill development, and practical application of academic learning.

Interns participate in a structured series of development opportunities, including interactions with senior leadership and career pathing insights. The experience also includes immersion in Huntington’s award‑winning culture through community involvement and team‑based activities. Internship Opportunities at Huntington:

Huntington offers internship opportunities for students who are currently enrolled in an academic program and seeking practical, hands‑on experience in their field of study. Internships take place during a defined period of time and are available across all business segments.

Rising seniors (Winter 2027 or Spring 2028 grads) may participate in the Huntington Internship Program , an 11-week , role-aligned experience where students work directly with a manager and team on meaningful business initiatives. In addition to hands-on project work, participants gain exposure to executive leadership, participate in Huntington's innovation project, and build connections that may lead to future full-time opportunities.

• A team project focused on applying Huntington’s innovation framework to a business‑relevant problem

Retail Business Management Internship Overview:

Within the Business Management and Commit To CARE team, interns will gain exposure to project and priority management. Students will partner directly with retail leadership, C2C program managers, and retail support partners to contribute to meaningful initiatives that enhance the colleague experience across the Huntington retail team. Interns will strengthen their communication skills while using Microsoft programs, AI tools, and other internal systems to support the development of strategic execution plans and presentations.

Opportunities may include exposure to Commit To CARE initiatives, such as the fraud journey, call center partnership and call reduction efforts, enhanced compensation planning, internal AI tool development, and more.  Successful candidates are collaborative, organized, process oriented, and eager to learn and grow at a fast pace.

Retail Onboarding and Development Internship Overview:

Within the Retail Onboarding & Development team, interns gain exposure to the strategies, programs, and experiences that prepare retail colleagues and leaders for success throughout their careers at Huntington. Students partner directly with onboarding, training, and development professionals to contribute to meaningful projects that support colleague readiness, growth, and continuous learning across the retail organization.

Interns will strengthen their communication, project management, and analytical skills while utilizing Microsoft tools, AI-enabled technologies, and internal systems.

Opportunities may include exposure to onboarding curriculum development, onboarding initiatives, colleague development pathways, onboarding communications, training resources, learning experience design, reporting, and process improvement projects. Successful candidates are curious, collaborative, organized, and eager to learn and grow at a fast pace.

Basic Qualifications:

High School graduate

Enrolled in an Undergraduate or Graduate accredited University with at least one quarter/semester of school after the completion of the summer program.

• Demonstrated teamwork and leadership through extracurricular activities and/or work experience
• Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and relationship building skills
• Ability to work independently or as part of a team
• Proficiency in MicrosoftOffice® applications

Preferred Qualifications:

• Course(s) of study applicable to the area of business
• Ability to maintain professional composure in a dynamic work environment that often requires management and completion of multiple tasks
• Demonstrate sound judgment and ability to apply logical/critical thought processes when developing solutions
• Ability to display a positive business presence with management and external personnel
• A strong interest in Banking as a career
• Relevant Majors: Preferred fields of study for your business area. Business Management, Communications, and more
• Relevant Coursework: Coursework that would be most applicable to the role. Business Management, Leadership, Communications, Public Speaking, Preferred Skills & Interests: Interest in leadership, project management, strategic planning, continuous improvement, onboarding, development, readiness.
