About the Opportunity

Join a compassionate and collaborative team providing essential psychiatric care to patients in a psychiatric inpatient setting. This unique role offers flexibility and the opportunity to deliver high-quality care to individuals with serious mental illness who otherwise may not have access to psychiatric care.

What You’ll Do:

• Deliver in-person mental health care in a freestanding 70-bed inpatient psychiatric hospital during business hours.
• Average daily caseload of 13 patients. On average, 3-4 new admissions per week.
• Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients 18 years or older with acute psychiatric disorders requiring inpatient hospitalization

What You’ll Get:

• Flexible schedule M-F 8:00 am - 5:00 pm.  You can go home and complete documentation remotely once you have finished in-person patient care responsibilities. Providers must be available by phone and have access to EPIC until 5:00 pm to address patient care issues.
• OPTIONAL Call includes weekend coverage, phone call (5:00 pm- 8:00 am) and weekday coverage for other providers on PTO. Additional compensation opportunity!

The Ideal Candidate

We’re looking for a compassionate and adaptable Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner who thrives in a dynamic environment. This position is perfect for someone who enjoys working with diverse patient populations and contributing to a friendly, patient-focused culture. The successful candidate will have a strong interest in serving patients with serious mental illness, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. 1-3 years of independent work experience post-training is required.

Prior inpatient experience is strongly preferred.

What You Need:

A graduate degree from an advanced nursing education program accredited by a national nursing accreditation body recognized by the United States Department of Education.

• At least 1 - 3 years of work experience as a psychiatric ARNP after completion of training
• An active Washington state RN license, without sanctions or restrictions
• State NP license
• Current CME hours to maintain licensure
• Adult/Gerontologic Psychiatry and/or Lifespan Certification of Completion from the American Nurse Credentialing Center or the American Association of Nurse Practitioners
• Registration capability with the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services
• An active Drug Enforcement Agency (DEA) license
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification

Requirements

• Certified psychiatric ARNP or D-ARNP
• Licensed in the state of WA by the time of employment
• Minimum 1-3 years clinical experience providing direct patient care
• DEA, NPI & prescriptive authority
• Current BLS for Healthcare Providers certification by the American Heart Association
• Maintain a valid Washington State Motor Vehicle License

Pay and Benefit Expectations

We provide a comprehensive benefits package, including competitive salary, medical, dental and retirement benefits and paid time off. As required by various pay transparency laws, we share a competitive range of compensation for candidates hired into each position. The pay scale is $158,000.00 - $177,000.00 USD. However, pay is influenced by factors specific to applicants, including but not limited to: skill set, level of experience, and certification(s) and/or education.

If this position is associated with a union contract, pay will be reflective of the appropriate step on the pay scale to which the applicant’s years of experience align.
