About the Role
New Heights Insurance Solutions, a specialty crane, rigging, and specialized transportation (CRST) insurance division, is seeking an organized, detail-oriented Underwriting Assistant to support our underwriting team. This is a fully remote position, offering a great opportunity for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and is eager to grow their insurance career while working alongside AI-enabled tools and systems.
Responsibilities
- Assist underwriters with submission set-up and processing
- Respond to coverage inquiries
- Review and process endorsements
- Support rating functions
- Complete general administrative tasks as requested
- Assist with audits
- Prepare and review premium finance agreements
- Review key underwriting documents, including submissions, loss runs, MVRs, CAB reports, and DOT reports
- Perform state and federal filing requests
- Calculate surplus lines taxes and fees
- Follow up on outstanding submissions, quotes, documents, and payments
- Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to additional job functions as required by the management team
Qualifications
- High school diploma required
- Active Property & Casualty (P&C) license required
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Willingness to learn and work with AI-powered tools
- Experience with AIM and ImageRight management systems a plus
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Friendly, professional demeanor
- Ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced environment
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and stay productive in a remote setting
Compensation
Salary:
Disclosure required under applicable state or municipality regulations: The expected salary range for this position is $60,000 to $65,000 and will be impacted by factors such as the successful candidate’s skills, experience and working location, as well as the specific position’s business line, scope and level.
