THE ROLE
As a Business Development Representative, you'll be the first point of contact for municipalities, DOTs, and engineering firms discovering what Cyvl can do for their infrastructure programs. You'll drive top-of-funnel growth by finding and engaging the right prospects, and your outreach will directly shape our pipeline and our expansion into new markets across the country. This is a full-time, on-site role at our Somerville, MA headquarters, starting ASAP.
WHAT YOU'LL DO
- Identify and research leads across municipalities, DOTs, and civil engineering firms to build a strong prospect pipeline.
- Run outbound (email, phone, LinkedIn) and multi-channel lead generation campaigns.
- Qualify inbound and outbound leads, book discovery calls and demos, and hand off opportunities to the sales team.
- Build relationships with prospective clients and track all activity and progress in the CRM.
WHAT YOU BRING
- A track record in inside sales and lead generation, identifying and pursuing new business opportunities
- Strong sales and business development skills, with the ability to build and maintain a growing network
- Excellent written and verbal communication with clients and internal teams
- Strong organization and time management, working independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Psychology, or a related field preferred
- NICE TO HAVE
- Familiarity with AI tools, CRM platforms (e.g., HubSpot, Salesforce), and sales engagement software
- Interest in or exposure to government technology, infrastructure, or civic tech
