Enterprise Technical Account Manager

About Cogent Security

Cogent is an Applied AI Lab building the next generation of AI agents for cybersecurity. AI has fundamentally changed how attacks happen, allowing malicious actors to operate at unprecedented speed and scale. Cogent's "AI Taskforce" assesses petabytes of enterprise data to remediate these issues before critical breaches occur.

To stay at the cutting edge, we blend frontier research with real-world execution. Alongside our core product work, Cogent Research serves as our applied AI lab, providing the research horsepower needed to make truly agentic security workflows a reality.

Since coming out of stealth, Cogent has experienced rapid growth. We partner with Fortune 500 companies to secure some of the most complex production environments in the world.

We're backed by Greylock & Bain Capital Ventures, and we've built a team with the best minds in applied AI. Our team is comprised of people from:

• Top universities like Stanford, Berkeley, Penn, Duke, Carnegie Mellon, Waterloo
• Unicorn, high-growth companies like Scale AI, Databricks, Stripe, Tesla, Coinbase
• World class cybersecurity experts from Wiz, Abnormal AI, Zscaler
• Preeminent research labs like Deepmind and SAIL

About the Role

We're hiring an Enterprise Technical Account Manager to own the full customer lifecycle for our largest accounts - from post-sale kickoff through production deployment, steady-state operations, and expansion. You'll be the technical point of contact that enterprise security teams rely on to operationalize Cogent in their environment and get measurable outcomes from it.

What You'll Do

• Own the end-to-end customer lifecycle from deployment kickoff through go-live, ongoing operations, and renewal
• Serve as the primary technical point of contact for enterprise accounts, building deep relationships with security leadership, engineering teams, and IT operations
• Lead deployment planning and execution: data source onboarding, integration validation, stakeholder alignment, and go-live readiness
• Help customers operationalize vulnerability management workflows inside Cogent - asset identification, risk scoring configuration, remediation prioritization, and compliance reporting
• Navigate each customer's security environment across cloud (AWS, GCP, Azure) and on-prem infrastructure, and understand how their scanning tools (Tenable, Qualys, Wiz) feed into our platform
• Identify and drive account expansion opportunities, growing ARR and improving net revenue retention across your book of business
• Translate customer feedback and field observations into product improvements by partnering directly with Product and Engineering
• Build repeatable deployment playbooks and onboarding frameworks that help future customers get to value faster

What We're Looking For

• Domain expertise in vulnerability management - you understand CVE workflows, remediation processes, risk prioritization, and how enterprise security teams track and reduce exposure
• 3+ years in a technical, customer-facing role: Technical Account Manager, Technical CSM, Solutions Engineer, or similar
• Strong technical acumen - comfortable discussing scanning infrastructure, cloud environments, API integrations, and data pipelines with customer engineering teams
• Clear, confident communicator who builds rapport quickly and manages relationships across security engineers, IT Ops, and executive stakeholders
• Ownership mindset across the full account lifecycle: you think past deployment into adoption, retention, and growth
• Consultative approach to account management - you go deep on a focused book of business rather than spreading thin across high volume
• Nice to Have
• Enterprise customer experience, particularly in regulated industries (financial services, healthcare)
• Experience at an early-stage company where you helped build or scale a customer success or TAM function
• Managed ARR between $1-10M+ with demonstrated net revenue retention above 90%
• Familiarity with compliance frameworks (SOC 2, FFIEC) and how they drive remediation timelines
• Working knowledge of CMDB tooling and asset management in enterprise environments
