Social Worker - Looked After Children

Liquid Personnel is recruiting a Children’s

Social Worker to join its client’s Looked After Children team, based in Torbay.

What will your responsibilities be?

Caseload Expectations: Typically, 20–24 cases, including a mix of complex Child in Need (CIN), Child Protection (CP), and assessments

Remote Working: Office attendance is expected up to three times per week. During duty weeks, full-time office presence is required. Remote working is permitted but staff must remain available to respond to crisis situations and Section 47 enquiries

• Supervision: Frequency varies by team; for example, in my team, supervision is held fortnightly
• Progression Opportunities: Pathways exist for career development and permanent roles
• Travel Requirements: Candidates must be able to travel across Torbay and occasionally out of county to visit children placed outside the area
• Duty Rota: Teams cover duty one full week every three weeks
• Contract Length: Long-term placement

Qualifications and Experience:

• To be successful in this role you must have; Social Work England registration
• Eligible to work in the UK
• Hold a full UK driving licence
• Post-qualified experience
• Degree level or equivalent in Social Work
