Heritage Home Healthcare is looking for an organized, proactive Training Coordinator to oversee and coordinate required training for our Personal Care Services (PCS) caregivers and Private Duty Nursing (PDN) staff throughout New Mexico.
In this role, you will take ownership of the training process, from new hire orientation and annual education to CPR certifications, clinical training coordination, and compliance tracking. You'll work closely with Operations, Nursing Leadership, HR, Recruiting, and Onboarding to ensure employees have the knowledge, resources, and training they need to confidently step into their roles.
This is an opportunity for someone who enjoys bringing organization to moving parts, connecting with employees, and making sure nothing falls through the cracks.
What You'll Do

- Coordinate and facilitate new hire orientation, annual training, continuing education, and required refresher courses for PCS caregivers and PDN nursing staff.
- Develop, organize, and maintain training materials that reflect company policies, regulatory requirements, and program-specific needs.
- Coordinate PDN-specific education and clinical competency requirements in partnership with the PDN RN Supervisor and Nursing Leadership.
- Manage online training assignments and facilitate in-person training sessions.
- Coordinate CPR classes, certification renewals, and other required training.
- Identify additional training needs and partner with leadership to arrange appropriate education or retraining.
- Training Compliance & Documentation
- Monitor training completion, certifications, and competency requirements to ensure employees remain current and meet established deadlines.
- Maintain accurate, organized, and audit-ready training records across company systems.
- Proactively monitor upcoming expirations and overdue requirements, following up with employees and managers to ensure timely completion.
- Create and maintain tracking reports that provide visibility into training compliance, outstanding requirements, and upcoming renewals.
- Assist with gathering and preparing training documentation for New Mexico Health Care Authority (HCA), managed care organization (MCO), payer, and regulatory audits.
- Partnership & Communication
- Partner with Operations, Nursing Leadership, HR, Recruiting, and Onboarding to ensure employees complete required training before beginning field assignments.
- Coordinate with the PDN RN Supervisor to ensure nursing staff receive required clinical education and competency validation from appropriately qualified personnel.
- Communicate training schedules, requirements, deadlines, and updates to field employees and leadership.
- Keep managers informed of incomplete, overdue, or expiring training requirements.
- Support new training initiatives, regulatory updates, and process improvements that strengthen employee readiness and compliance.

Training is consistent, effective, and supports the delivery of quality patient care.
