Employer Job Description
From Zillow's posting. “We” and “our” refer to the employer.
About the team
The Social Media team at Zillow sits within Marketing and Corporate Affairs and helps bring our brand to life across the channels where people discover, engage with, and talk about Zillow every day. We’re a collaborative, creative, and data-informed group that partners closely with brand marketing, creative, analytics, and cross-functional teams to build meaningful connections with home shoppers, renters, and real estate professionals.
Together, we use storytelling, audience insights, and real-time performance learnings to create social experiences that support Zillow’s business goals and reflect our customer-first approach.
About the role
We’re looking for a strategic, creative, and community-minded social marketer to help grow Zillow’s presence with real estate professionals.
In this role, you’ll help lead social strategy for Zillow For Agents, building a channel that agents actively choose to follow, engage with, and participate in. You’ll develop content that helps agents grow their businesses, understand Zillow’s products and offerings, stay connected to what’s happening across the industry, and connect directly with their peers.
Agents are at the center of this work. You’ll build relationships across the agent community and find creative ways to bring their expertise, experiences, and voices into Zillow’s social presence - whether through an ongoing ambassador relationship, a creator partnership, a conversation captured at an industry event, or an organic post worth amplifying.
This role sits at the intersection of B2B social strategy, community building, content, and advocacy. The ideal candidate understands that growing an influential B2B social presence requires more than publishing great content: it requires deeply understanding the audience, building relationships with them, and creating a community people want to be part of.
This role has been categorized as a Remote position. “Remote” employees do not have a permanent corporate office workplace and, instead, work from a physical location of their choice, which must be identified to the Company. U.S. employees may live in any of the 50 United States, with limited exceptions.
In California, Connecticut, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Jersey, New York, Washington state, and Washington DC the standard base pay range for this role is $93,900.00 - $150,100.00 annually. This base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.

In Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maine, Minnesota, Nevada, Ohio, Rhode Island, Vermont, and Virginia the standard base pay range for this role is $89,200.00 - $142,600.00 annually.
The base pay range is specific to these locations and may not be applicable to other locations.
In addition to a competitive base salary this position is also eligible for equity awards based on factors such as experience, performance and location. Actual amounts will vary depending on experience, performance and location. Employees in this role will not be paid below the salary threshold for exempt employees in the state where they reside.
Who you are
Own and evolve Zillow For Agents social strategy, translating business priorities, audience needs, product moments, industry trends, and cultural opportunities into compelling social programming across Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, LinkedIn, and emerging platforms.
Drive audience growth and engagement by developing programming designed specifically for real estate professionals - continually testing new formats, franchises, voices, partnerships, and distribution strategies to expand Zillow’s reach and relevance with agents.
Lead social-first content development, partnering with creative teams and agencies to develop content that’s built for the way agents consume and engage with social.
Develop a deep understanding of the agent audience and business, staying close to the conversations, challenges, trends, and opportunities shaping agents’ work and using those insights to inform social strategy and content.
Build and grow Zillow’s agent social community, identifying and cultivating relationships with credible, influential agents who can become active advocates for the brand. Maintain an always-on pipeline of agent talent and create opportunities for agents to engage with Zillow, one another, and the broader Zillow For Agents community and use our channels to amplify their POVs.
Activate agent voices through social-first storytelling, bringing agents into Zillow content through testimonials, product stories, educational content, events, campaigns, organic amplification, and other opportunities that showcase their expertise and experiences.
Lead social strategy for agent events and industry moments, developing pre-event, on-site, and post-event programming that extends the impact of Zillow-owned and industry events through content, community participation, and agent storytelling.
Partner cross-functionally across the agent business, building strong relationships with Product Marketing, Sales, Events, Communications, Research, Partnerships, Paid Media, and other teams to uncover stories, talent, insights, and opportunities that can come to life on social. The current role already functions as a connective point across many of these teams.
Use performance and audience insights to continuously improve the strategy, identifying what resonates with agents and translating those learnings into stronger content, programming, and community initiatives.
What we’re looking for
- 4–6+ years of experience in social media, B2B marketing, community, content marketing, creator marketing, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of social platforms and what makes content successful across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, TikTok, and emerging channels.
- Experience developing social or content strategies tied to measurable audience growth, engagement, or business objectives.
- A strong instinct for community building - you understand how brands can create relationships with audiences rather than simply market to them.
- Excellent relationship-building skills and comfort working directly with customers, creators, partners, or other external talent.
- Strong editorial judgment and the ability to recognize a compelling story, credible voice, or social opportunity - and quickly determine how to bring it to life.
- Experience working with creators, influencers, ambassadors, advocates, or user-generated content programs; experience managing or partnering with an influencer agency is a plus.
- Strong writing and storytelling skills, with the ability to translate complex products, business priorities, and industry topics into approachable social content.
- Ability to operate strategically while still being willing to execute - from developing an annual strategy to grabbing a camera at an event when a great story presents itself.
- Strong cross-functional collaboration skills and the ability to navigate multiple stakeholders, priorities, approvals, and workstreams.
- A curiosity about the real estate industry and a willingness to develop deep knowledge of how agents build their businesses, serve their clients, and use technology.
- Comfort using performance data, social listening, audience insights, and cultural trends to inform decisions and identify opportunities.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple campaigns, relationships, and content workstreams in a fast-moving environment.
