About the Role
We’re looking for a Maintenance Technician to join our team at a garden-style apartment community in Augusta, GA. In this role, you’ll keep homes and common areas safe, comfortable, and in great condition. You’ll handle service requests, prepare units for new residents, and help maintain the property so residents enjoy living here.
What You’ll Do
- Complete resident service requests promptly and professionally, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, appliance, and general repairs.
- Prepare vacant units for move-in (make-readies), including repairs, painting, and final inspections.
- Perform preventive maintenance on building systems, equipment, and common areas.
- Inspect the property regularly and report safety hazards or needed repairs.
- Keep accurate records of work orders, parts, and supplies.
- Follow all safety procedures and company policies.
- Communicate courteously with residents, team members, and vendors.
- Support other maintenance projects as assigned by property leadership.
Requirements
What You Bring
- Experience in apartment, residential, or building maintenance (preferred).
- Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, appliance repair, and painting.
- Ability to troubleshoot and fix problems independently.
- Strong customer service and communication skills.
- Reliability, attention to detail, and good time management.
- EPA 608 certification or CPO certification is a plus.
- Own basic hand tools (preferred).
- Physical Requirements
- The essential functions of this role include the following, with or without reasonable accommodation:
- Lift and carry items up to 50 lbs.
- Climb ladders and stairs, and bend, kneel, and reach to complete repairs.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
