Employer Job Description
From FIXD Automotive's posting. “We” and “our” refer to the employer.
About FIXD & AppraisalPRO
FIXD breaks car problems down into simple and understandable terms, so drivers know the price of a repair when they take their car to the shop. The FIXD Sensor plugs into the diagnostic port of a driver's car and communicates via Bluetooth to the FIXD app.
AppraisalPRO is FIXD's B2B product that helps dealerships during the vehicle appraisal process. We detect any problems with trade-in vehicles, provide estimated reconditioning costs for a vehicle, a consumer-facing condition report for use in negotiations, and a comprehensive analytics platform. We integrate with dealers' inventory management systems, like vAuto, to make appraisals fast and simple. Over 2,000 dealer rooftops pay for AppraisalPRO today, and we are now launching new products under the AppraisalPRO name.
Total Compensation for this role is $150,000 to $175,000
Job Description
The Senior Product Manager owns AppraisalPRO's new product lines: what gets built, how it reaches dealers, and whether dealers get real value from it. You will report to the COO and work alongside our existing product manager, sharing an engineering team and a dealer base. The role is based in Atlanta and includes regular visits to dealerships.
Role
Own the roadmap and backlog for AppraisalPRO's new product lines
Take new products from R&D to early customers to building repeatable processes
Work directly with engineering on specs, prioritization, and acceptance.
- Spend time with our customers watching how appraisers, managers, and service advisors use our products, and find out why some stores get far more out of them than others
- Know the competitive landscape for each product and be clear about where we win and where we don't
- Find the cause before adding a feature; write down what you learn in the field and let it drive the roadmap
- Own pricing and packaging decisions for your products, with data to back them
- Own the integration work new products depend on (DMS, inventory tools, data providers) alongside our partnerships team
- Give CSMs and sales what they need to onboard and sell: training, talking points, and straight answers when a dealer asks something hard
- Track activation, usage, results per store, and churn, and use those numbers to decide what to build next
Requirements
Qualifications
- Four to eight years in product management, including at least one product you took from nothing to its first paying customers and owned through the results that followed
- A record of going to see customers in person and changing what you built because of it. Be ready to walk us through a specific example
- You treat your product's results as your own. When something isn't working, you go find out why rather than wait for someone to tell you.
- Entrepreneurship and comfort in doing new things. There is no product ops or research team. You talk to customers, write the spec, pull the numbers, and build the next version of the product
- Ability to work fluently and speak with data, and working knowledge of product analytics: Mixpanel, Amplitude, or SQL
- Plus
- Experience building B2B software sold to car dealers
- Experience with integrations: DMS, inventory, CRM, or data-provider APIs
- Experience in pricing and launching a new product line
Benefits
- Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision) for you and your family
- 401k - 5% match
- Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)
- Training & Development
- Free Food & Snacks
