It ensures Thomson Reuters stays on the front-line with our customers, as they navigate fast-changing technology and value with AI solutions. In this role you will redefine critical customer moments to help customers (and prospects) more easily and confidently navigate their transformation journeys.
You will be responsible for structuring account and deal strategies, alongside account directors and sales leadership. You will scope what a critical customer moment should look like, with defined team goals, objectives, and outcomes. You will mobilize experts from across TR to deploy them against critical customer needs and moments and oversee the delivery of the strategies you and the team set. Your work will focus on our highest priority opportunities, so you must not only be comfortable executing with excellence, but also
enthusiastic about redefining what excellence looks like.
This role requires an ability to operate at an executive level, helping teams cultivate new relationships, growing existing relationships, and winning back customers. You will work as an individual contributor and function as the team lead in consulting-style / pre-sales engagements, so your influence depends on the quality of your insight, your success in harnessing expertise across an ecosystem, your credibility with stakeholders and your ability to turn ideas into business outcomes.
Key Responsibilities

For each one, set the team goals, objectives, and outcomes, and design the target customer experience to help our customers navigate change with confidence.
- Structure account and deal strategies: Partner with account directors and sales leadership to build strategies for our highest-priority accounts and pursuits across Legal, Tax, and Risk. Assess risks to renewal, proactively plan for expansion, bring critical thinking to design win-back strategies, and set the plan to grow footprint and displace or protect against competitors.
- Diagnose the customer’s transformation starting point: Go beyond surface-level feedback or customer requests to understand a customer’s goals, workflow pain points, budget dynamics, maturity with AI, and decision criteria. Turn those insights into a clear point of view that guides the strategy and the engagement.
- Build and deepen executive relationships: Map decision-makers and influencers in target accounts, and engage at the executive level. Help sales open new relationships, grow existing ones, and win back lapsed customers through the quality of your insight and your credibility.
- Lead pursuit engagements with consulting-style rigor: Act as team lead for pre-sales and strategic engagements, while remaining an individual contributor. Set the approach, manage the plan and stakeholders, and spot early warning signs such as stakeholder gaps, competitive threats, or misaligned expectations. Act on them before they cost the deal.
- Mobilize and orchestrate experts across Thomson Reuters: Identify and engage the domain experts, product specialists, value and delivery leaders, and executives each moment requires. Deploy them against critical customer needs, and oversee delivery of the strategy so customers see one coordinated team.
- Help build the value case with the customer: Work with sales, value, and finance partners to quantify business value and express our Legal, Tax, and Risk solutions in financial terms. Understand how the business case can be incorporated early to drive momentum.
- Turn customer learning into product and go-to-market input: Bring structured, evidence-based insight to Product, Sales, and GTM leaders, covering unmet needs, feature gaps, and new offering opportunities. Capture what works across engagements as repeatable playbooks, and keep raising the standard of what excellence looks like.
- Be the trusted transformation advisor for Thomson Reuters: Represent how to structure and think about transformation in every interaction. Help customers see how our integrated solutions solve their transformation challenges and earn credibility through outcomes rather than claims.

You have led complex, high-pressure, executive-facing engagements from the front and have a track record of delivering outcomes for clients.
- Proven ability to orchestrate people and resources against a customer need. You have assembled and directed cross-functional teams (experts, product, delivery, finance, sales) across a full engagement, from qualification through negotiation, delivery, renewal, and expansion, and kept them aligned under pressure.

- Strong critical thinking and the ability to turn ambiguity into strategy. You can structure unfamiliar, complex problems, form a clear point of view from incomplete information, and follow customer insight through to a practical conclusion.
- A record of raising the bar. You are never satisfied with “good.” You have reset the standard of excellence for your team, and you experiment with new ways of engaging customers and delivering work. You are open to creative ideas and willing to try, learn, and adjust.
- Proven ability to influence senior stakeholders without formal authority. You earn credibility with C-suite and executive audiences through the quality of your insights, your communication skills and your results, both inside and outside the company.
- Excellent written and verbal communication. You present with clarity and confidence to executive audiences and tell a compelling story with the facts behind it.
- A culture carrier. You bring energy and enthusiasm to the team and motivate others to build a market-leading team. You lead by example, and your standards and curiosity raise those around you.
