Employer Job Description
From Amazon's posting. “We” and “our” refer to the employer.
The Ads Services Salesforce Team is looking for a smart, motivated, and hands-on Salesforce Developer & Administrator to own and operate our shared production Salesforce instance. This is a hybrid role that combines technical Salesforce development (Apex, integrations, Lightning) with platform administration (configuration, user management, data quality).
You will be responsible for day-to-day operations, new feature delivery, integrations with internal tools and AWS services, and ensuring a smooth experience for business teams across Support, Operations, and Customer Advisory.
You will use your business judgement and technical experience to design and build compelling solutions for hundreds of internal customers in a fast-paced, innovative environment.
Key job responsibilities
Manage configuration of Salesforce features including user management, security, custom objects, page layouts, validation rules, workflows, Flows, and Process Builders.
Manage Salesforce support requests and escalated administrative needs — provide prompt and complete resolution to technical challenges.
Collaborate with product owners and business stakeholders on major project roll-outs, including training and troubleshooting for end-users.
Monitor system health and proactively identify opportunities to leverage Salesforce in innovative ways to improve business processes and increase productivity.
Development
Design and develop Apex classes, triggers, and batch jobs to support complex business logic.
Build and maintain Lightning Components and Visualforce pages for custom user interfaces.
Develop and manage integrations with internal tools and AWS services using REST/SOAP APIs.
Design and implement MCP (Model Context Protocol) integrations to connect Salesforce with AWS, Retail, and Ads platforms — enabling AI-powered workflows across multi-cloud ecosystems.
Design, build, and maintain data models and data pipelines for Salesforce — including ETL/ELT processes, data lake integrations, and real-time sync with external systems.
Cross-Cutting
Partner with system product owners to deliver tailored solutions that support business requirements and drive tangible business value.
Consult with stakeholders on application performance, scalability, and usability.
