Job Summary:

The Mammography Technologist provides high-quality mammography services while creating a comfortable and compassionate experience for patients. Qualifications:: Minimum of associate’s degree in applied science

• Completion of 3D/tomographic training
• Current certification with the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT)
• Current state license as a mammography technologist/radiography technologist
• Experience with EMR and imaging systems (Sectra, Epic, PenRad applications highly preferred)
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to patient care
• Responsibilities and Scope:: Prepare and position patients for mammography procedures, explaining the process and ensuring comfort and understanding
• Perform imaging procedures, adjusting equipment and exposure settings for optimal image quality
• Review images for accuracy and diagnostic quality before submission to the radiologist
• Ability to collaborate with an interdisciplinary team, including working closely with radiologists
• Maintain patient records, including relevant medical history and documentation in EMR systems
• Coordinate with outside facilities to obtain prior imaging when needed
• Support coding, billing, and general administrative tasks related to procedures
• Maintain clean, stocked, and organized patient care areas
• Ensure adherence to infection control, safety, and radiation protection protocols
• Perform routine quality control testing to ensure equipment is functioning safely and effectively
