Senior Strategic Analyst

JOB SUMMARY:

The Senior Strategic Analyst analyzes critical business questions to inform revenue and guest satisfaction strategy. Going beyond reporting, the role seeks to understand what is driving performance and translate those findings into actionable insights and strategic recommendations. This person will use generative AI to accelerate analyses and deepen insights.

The role spans both deep-dive and ad hoc analyses for executive and brand teams, while also supporting partners across the organization, such as Public Relations and Investor Relations.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct strategic analyses to identify opportunity areas that drive brand performance.
• Measure success through tracking and analyses. Apply prescriptive and predictive analysis techniques to inform strategic decision-making.
• Integrate AI and automation into analytical workflows, applying critical thinking and judgment to deliver high-quality insights.
• Assist the Director in preparing strategic quarterly reviews of performance. This includes segment analyses, press releases, and earnings releases.
• Proactively monitor key metrics over time, primarily RevPAR, RPI, and Guest Satisfaction. Raise concern over stagnant or softening metrics that require the generation of growth strategies. Ensure that insights, trends and risk factors are clearly communicated.
• May periodically present information and data effectively to stakeholders throughout the company.
• Enhance the richness of reporting by utilizing advanced data visualization tools to clearly convey large amounts of information.
• Partner across the Advanced Analytics Team to provide a seamless process for analyses, PR releases, and earnings call material.
• Support and strengthen a data-driven culture across Choice.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Employment Experience
• 2-3 years of relevant experience.
• Background in travel or hospitality a plus.
• Technical Skills
• Advanced PowerPoint skills required.
• Ability to query data and leverage various platforms (SQL, Tableau, R or Python).
• Additional Skills & Competencies
• Ability to tell a story and advise strategy based on data.
• Consistently seek out and promote innovative solutions or approaches to problem solving in a highly flexible and interactive manner.

• Education Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in a field such as statistics, analytics or other quantitative fields required.

Minneapolis, MN — Select roles are based in our Minneapolis office on Highway 394, near the intersection with Highway 100, only five minutes from downtown.

Field/Remote — Select roles designated as field/remote will require associates to work from a home office, connecting virtually with Choice team members and leadership on Zoom, with possible required travel depending on the role.
