Greenhouse Worker
Location: Hedgesville, WV
WSB has partnered with Microbe Farmers, a newly built, 1-acre living-soil greenhouse in Hedgesville, WV dedicated to growing 6 types of premium herbs with natural methods to supply health supplements. We are a small, growing team, and are seeking Greenhouse Workers to care for, harvest, and assist in the growth of these herbs.
The Role
The Greenhouse worker will be a dedicated and dependable individual who enjoys hands-on work and working with plants. This individual will assist with the daily operations of the greenhouse by performing plant care, harvesting, transplanting, and assisting with general greenhouse duties. Experience on a farm, garden, or with plants is a plus, but not required. This is a great opportunity for someone looking to gain experience in a greenhouse setting!
Job Responsibilities:
- Cultivating and caring for plants and herbs
- Planting and maintaining crops
- Monitoring plant growth and overall plant health
- Harvesting and preparing herbs for shipment
- Assisting with sowing seeds and transplanting duties
- Assisting with general greenhouse duties
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
Schedule:
7:00 AM – 4:00 PM
Full-time
Monday-Friday
Qualifications:
- Reliable and dependable
- Strong work ethic and a positive, collaborative approach to working with others
- Able to work independently while taking on direction and feedback
- Able to work in a hands-on environment
- Comfortable with physical, repetitive tasks and with being on your feet for long hours
- Willing to learn how to safely operate greenhouse equipment and machinery
- Previous greenhouse or plant experience is a plus, but not required
