Position Overview
The Integration Test & Validation Engineer - Retrofit Technology Systems provides software and hardware test support for retrofit and aftermarket technology kit projects, partnering with team leads and fellow engineers to complete daily tasks.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and assemble wiring harnesses
- Integrate and fabricate electrical hardware
- Set up test equipment for bench and on-machine testing
- Build demonstration kits
- Provide test-track and field support
- Team & Work Environment
- The manager assigns projects to team leads, who delegate work tasks to engineers
- Highly collaborative setting with one to two team meetings per day and regular one-on-one meetings
- Work is split between an office, a lab equipped with hand tools and hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) benches, and proving grounds with hands-on machine and equipment testing
Requirements
- Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field and 2–4 years of experience
- Hands-on electrical and mechanical assembly experience
- Software regression testing experience
- Machine operating experience (commercial, industrial, agricultural, etc.)
- Software test plan creation
- Camera/detection technology development and validation
- Ability to present technical problems and solutions
