Senior Commercial Leasing Specialist

Overview

CIT Rail, a division of First Citizens Bank since 2022, offers a full suite of railcar leasing and equipment financing solutions to shippers and carriers across North America. The team manages one of the youngest and most diversified fleets in the industry while leveraging deep experience to help customers succeed.

This person in this role is the primary relationship manager for existing Rail customer base within the territory to originate incremental rail operating leasing volume, maximize revenue on the renewal of existing leases, and liaison with Rail Customer Service, Mechanical, and Financial Operations groups on all customer needs. Generate new Rail customers through direct calling efforts. Work with Rail Structured Finance Group to generate non-operating lease financing opportunities.

Responsibilities & Qualifications

• Duties & Responsibilities: Sales & Marketing – Generates new Rail customers through direct calling efforts. Works with Rail Structured Finance Group to generate non-operating lease financing opportunities.
• Operations – The VP Leasing position is a direct calling sales position with the responsibility for originating new operating lease transactions, maximizing revenue on renewal of operating leases, and generating other financing opportunities in the freight transportation sector.
• Relationship Development – Acts as the primary relationship manager for existing Rail customers within the territory to originate incremental rail operating leasing volume, maximize revenue on the renewal of existing leases, and liaison with Rail Customer Service, Mechanical, and Financial Operations groups on all customer needs.
• Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree and 6 years' experience and 10 years' experience in Sales, Leasing

• High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 10 years' experience in Sales, Leasing
• Preferred Area of Experience: Railcar Leasing
