Compensation
Salary:
- HDD Directional Drill Operator: $38.00 - $39.00 per hour
- HDD Directional Drill Foreman: $40.00 per hour starting pay
- Additional Compensation:
- Union position
- Potential union benefits package (based on local union agreement)
Required Experience:
- Prior experience operating Horizontal Directional Drilling (HDD) equipment
- Experience installing underground conduit and utility lines
- Experience working in underground utility construction environments
- Foreman experience:
- Previous crew leadership or supervisory experience
- Ability to coordinate daily work activities and oversee field crews
- Industry experience in:
- Underground utility construction
- Telecommunications infrastructure
- Fiber optic installation
- Gas utility construction
- Electric utility construction
Requirements (Must-Haves):
- Driver's license
- Prior HDD operating experience
- Ability to join the union as a condition of employment
- Ability to pass a drug screen
- Ability to pass a background check
- Ability to work outdoors in all weather conditions
- Ability to lift heavy materials and perform physically demanding work
- Strong safety mindset
- Team-oriented attitude
- Reliable transportation and attendance
- Nice-to-Haves: Experience operating:
- Vermeer drill rigs
- Ditch Witch drill rigs
- American Augers drill rigs
- Fiber optic construction experience
- Telecom construction experience

- Ability to read bore plans
- Ability to read construction blueprints/prints
- Previous Foreman or crew leadership experience
