Your day in dermatology
If you enjoy a busy day with plenty of patient interaction, you’ll feel right at home. You will:
Start each visit with a warm welcome: Room patients, review medical histories and medications, document their concerns, and obtain vital signs as applicable.
Be a trusted clinical teammate: Assist providers with examinations, office procedures, and surgical preparation, including confirming required documentation and consents.
Put your clinical skills to work: Perform injections, suture removals, and other patient care tasks as directed by providers and within your training and authorized scope.
Keep the details in order: Accurately document visits in the electronic medical record and properly verify, label, and log specimens.
Help patients stay connected to their care: Relay provider instructions, communicate results as directed, respond to patient messages, and assist with prescriptions, referrals, and follow-up scheduling.
Keep the clinic ready for what’s next: Clean and stock treatment rooms, sterilize instruments, and maintain clinical supplies and equipment.
Protect patient privacy: Follow confidentiality, safety, and infection prevention procedures in every interaction.
Bring your team spirit: Pitch in where needed and, when assigned, help with clinic-approved social media and community engagement activities.
