About the job
The Search and Maps Marketing (SAMM) team helps people discover and navigate the world by showcasing the capabilities of Google Search, AI-powered search, Google Lens, Google Maps, and Google Trends. Our team works at the intersection of AI innovation and human curiosity, translating complex technology into compelling stories and global marketing campaigns. We transform everyday search behavior into brand affinity, daily use, and cultural relevance.
As the Head of Google Trends, you will lead its evolution from a data tool into a proactive engine of cultural insight. You will define the global marketing strategy for Google Trends, shaping how its data and insights power Google's brand narrative and product marketing efforts worldwide. In this role, you will be responsible for leading a cross-functional team to keep human curiosity at the center of our work.
Know the user. Know the magic. Connect the two. At its core, marketing at Google starts with technology and ends with the user, bringing both together in unconventional ways. Our job is to demonstrate how Google's products solve the world's problems--from the everyday to the epic, from the mundane to the monumental. And we approach marketing in a way that only Google can--changing the game, redefining the medium, making the user the priority, and ultimately, letting the technology speak for itself.
Individual pay is determined by factors including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
US: $219000 - $305000 (USD) + 25% bonus target + equity + benefits
