NURSE PRACTITIONER

Responsibilities Wekiva Springs Center, located in Jacksonville Florida, has an immediate opening for a dynamic and talented Psych Nurse Practitioner to join our team of compassionate, dedicated professionals. This position is a contract position and will provide direct patient care under the direction of the Medical Director for adults and geriatric patients with psychiatric and substance abuse conditions, and is responsible for the following: Interview, diagnose and record health histories of the clients: Provide health teaching and

counseling, . Complete evaluations and certifications that maybe initiated as described for Adult Populations Prescribe medication to Adult psychiatric patients The PRN Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner is responsible for continuing his/her own professional development to enhance practice and the profession of Nursing. Actively participates as a member of the multi-disciplinary team of the unit and performs duties as assigned.
