Employer Job Description
From JoVE's posting. “We” and “our” refer to the employer.
JoVE is the world- leading producer and provider of video solutions with the mission to improve scientific research and education. Millions of scientists, educators and students use JoVE for their research, teaching and learning. Our institutional clients comprise over 1,000 universities, colleges, and biopharma companies, including such leaders as Harvard, MIT, Yale, and Stanford.
As a rapidly growing company, with offices in the USA, UK, Australia, and India servicing clients in over 60 countries, we are seeking talented and ambitious individuals to join our company.
The Role
JoVE is building a library of 90-second microlearning videos for corporate teams. Our first collection, Essential Sales Skills for Individual Contributors, teaches new B2B sellers one practical behavior per video. We need an experienced sales professional to make sure what we teach is correct, realistic, and useful.
What you’ll do
- Approve the table of contents. Check that the lessons cover what a new seller needs, in a build-on order, with nothing missing, repeated, or out of scope.
- Approve scenarios. Check that each scenario, dialogue, and piece of advice matches how real B2B selling works. You can approve it, or send it back with a clear reason.
- QC the final videos. Score each video against our quality rubric and flag anything that is wrong or unrealistic before release.
- Give clear, specific feedback that the production team can act on without a follow-up call.
Requirements
- You've been consulting into sales for the last 3-5 years.
- Before that, hands-on B2B selling in the field in a quota-carrying role in the US market, recent enough that you know how buyers and sales tools work today.
- Experience in judging sales training content or building it.
- A direct, honest style. We want you to tell us when something is wrong.
- Nice to have
- Experience with microlearning or short-form video.
- Experience selling to or training entry-level reps.
- How we’ll work
- Contract for hours per week. The rate is USD 20-40 per hour.
- You review in stages: TOC first, then scenarios, then final videos.
- You do not write scripts. Your job is to review and approve independently.
- To apply
- Send your CV, a short note on your sales and consulting background, and one example of sales content you have reviewed or improved.
