About this Role:
The Multimedia Content Designer owns video and visual production for the content team from concept to final delivery. You will take each project from first idea through storyboarding, interview preparation, filming, lighting and audio, editing, animation and music, to final delivery. The work ranges from client case studies and campaign spots to short service explainers and animated training films. For larger, high-production projects, you will lead and coordinate outside agencies and production partners.
This role also supports the digital asset library, coordinating with the Knowledge Manager to supply new video and imagery and helping keep the library current.
Beyond production, this is a storytelling partner role. You will work with the content team to find stories worth telling, help business unit, regional, and end-market leaders share their industry knowledge through visual thought leadership content, and create video content for Consertus Institute that ties our services and broader business development strategy to Consertus’ educational sales programming.
This role reports to the Director, Content Strategy, and is a full-time, exempt, remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Video Production (about 60% of the role)
- Own every project end to end: creative concept, script, storyboard, shot list, filming, editing, sound, music, color, captions, and final delivery in every format needed
- Plan, shoot, and edit client case study videos, including interviews, supporting footage, and project walkthroughs
- Produce campaign videos in multiple formats and aspect ratios (16:9, 9:16, 1:1) for web, social, email, and events
- Produce training videos, from onboarding content to process and how-to walkthroughs
- Produce video content for Consertus Institute that connects our service lines and broader business development strategy to Consertus’ educational and thought leadership programming
- Handle pre-production: creative briefs, scripts, storyboards, shot lists, location scouting, scheduling, and coordinating with clients, interviewees, and project sites
- Coordinate with the content, marketing, and leadership teams to shape interview questions for each subject, then prepare interviewees ahead of filming with talking points and on-camera coaching
- Manage all technical production: camera, lighting, audio recording, color correction, sound mixing, voiceover, captions, and choosing and licensing music
- Manage production equipment; use your own kit where available, and arrange rentals or local crew when the shoot location or project size requires it
- Run review and approval rounds with stakeholders through to final sign-off
- Scope, brief, and manage outside agencies, freelancers, and production partners on high-production videos, including vendor selection, budgets, timelines, creative direction, and quality review
- Motion Graphics and Animation (about 30%)
- Script, design, and animate short animated training films (around 10 minutes), from storyboard through illustration, animation, voiceover, and sound
- Design on-brand motion graphics: animated titles, lower thirds, transitions, and data callouts
- Build animated social clips and explainer elements from static designs
- Develop reusable templates so the team can produce consistent video faster
- Digital Asset Library Support (about 10%)
- Coordinate with the Knowledge Manager to add new videos and imagery from each shoot to the library
- Provide usage rights, releases, and basic metadata for every asset added
- Help maintain the library by flagging assets that need updating, replacing, or retiring
- Storytelling and Collaboration (woven throughout)
- Partner with the content team to spot video and short-story opportunities in projects, people, and client wins
- Coordinate with writers and designers so messaging, graphics, and visuals stay aligned across every piece
- Partner with the graphic design team on every video and visual asset produced to ensure brand consistency, including templates, colors, typography, and motion style
- Work with business unit, regional, and end-market leads to turn their industry expertise into thought leadership videos and stories, including content for Consertus Institute
- Help subject-matter experts feel comfortable on camera and shape their insights into clear, engaging content
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Film, Communications, Marketing, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience owning video projects end to end, from concept and storyboard through final delivery
- Strong photography and videography skills, demonstrated through a portfolio or reel
- Working motion graphics and 2D animation skills, with examples of animated titles, explainers, or animated training content
- Comfort running a shoot solo, including camera, lighting, and audio
- Strong organizational habits and attention to detail
- Clear communication with clients, subject-matter experts, and non-video teammates
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator), DaVinci Resolve, and Canva
- Preferred: Own professional camera, lighting, and audio kit (equipment can be rented depending on the shoot location and project needs)
- Experience briefing and managing creative agencies, freelancers, or production vendors
- Experience in the AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) industry, including filming safely on active project sites
- FAA Part 107 drone certification
- Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) platforms
- Understanding of image rights, releases, and licensing
- Additional Requirements / Skills / Working Hours / Compensation Range
- Full-time, exempt; remote role up to 30%, with travel to company offices and project sites as required
- Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with client and project requirements
- Salary Range: $125,000 - $145,000 depending on experience

- Generous time off, including 10 paid holidays, and a PTO plan that starts at 15 days annually, growing up to 25 days with tenure
