About this Role:
The Graphic Designer owns the visual side of how Consertus wins work. You will support the content and pursuit teams by designing templates for presentations, pursuits, and sales collateral, building graphics that explain our services and methodologies, and helping shape presentations from first outline to final delivery. The work ranges from proposal covers and shortlist interview decks to service one-pagers, process diagrams, and campaign assets.
This role also creates and maintains content and pursuit templates and graphics in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Claude Design, enabling proposal writers and pursuit leads to produce polished, consistent work more efficiently.
Beyond production, this is a visual problem-solving partner role. You will work with pursuit leads, subject-matter experts, and business unit leaders to turn complex services, technical approaches, and project data into clear visuals that help clients see why Consertus is the right choice.
This role reports to the Director, Content Strategy, and is a full-time, exempt, remote position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Templates and Sales Collateral (about 40%)
- Design and maintain templates for presentations, proposals, qualifications packages, and resumes in Microsoft Word and PowerPoint, built with masters, layouts, and styles so non-designers can use them correctly
- Build matching templates and brand kits in Canva for teams that create content in that tool
- Design sales collateral, including service sheets, capability brochures, project profiles, case study layouts, and leave-behinds, in print and digital formats
- Keep templates and collateral current as services, branding, and project experience change, and retire outdated versions
- Write short how-to guides for each template so the team applies them consistently
- Pursuit and Proposal Graphics (about 30% of the role)
- Design custom graphics for proposals and presentations: service and methodology diagrams, process flows, organizational charts, schedules, maps, infographics, and data visualizations
- Build and maintain a reusable library of graphics for Consertus services, solutions, and delivery methodologies so pursuit teams can drop approved visuals into any response
- Design proposal covers, section dividers, tabs, and client-specific visual themes for strategic pursuits
- Turn technical content and rough sketches from subject-matter experts into clear, accurate visuals
- Work to pursuit deadlines, including quick-turn requests during final production of a response
- Run final visual quality checks on proposals and pursuit documents before submission
- Presentation Development (about 20%)
- Partner with pursuit leads and presenters to develop shortlist interview decks, client presentations, and executive briefings from outline to final slides
- Restructure and redesign slides so each one makes a single clear point, with visuals that support the story
- Prepare presentation files for delivery, including presenter versions, handouts, and print-ready or PDF exports
- Support rehearsals with last-minute slide updates as needed
- Campaign Graphic Support (about 10%)
- Provide graphic support for marketing campaigns: social graphics, email headers, web banners, event signage, and digital ads
- Adapt campaign creative across formats and sizes while keeping the look consistent
- Supply still graphics, illustrations, and design elements for video and motion content produced by the Multimedia Content Designer
- Brand Stewardship and Collaboration (woven throughout)
- Apply Consertus brand standards across every asset, including colors, typography, iconography, and layout
- Coordinate with the marketing graphics team so messaging and visuals stay aligned and up to date across every piece
- Coordinate with the Knowledge Manager to add final graphics, templates, and collateral to the digital asset library with clear naming and metadata
- Use AI design tools, such as Claude Design, to speed up concepting and production, and review all output for accuracy and brand fit
- Manage multiple requests at once, setting clear priorities and timelines with requesters
Qualifications/Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or a related field preferred
- Proven experience designing presentations, proposals, or sales collateral, demonstrated through a portfolio
- Advanced skills in Microsoft PowerPoint and Word, including slide masters, layouts, styles, and template building
- Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) and Canva
- Working knowledge of Claude Design and comfort using AI tools as part of a design workflow
- Ability to turn complex technical information into clear diagrams and infographics
- Strong organizational habits, attention to detail, and the ability to manage tight, overlapping deadlines
- Clear communication with pursuit leads, subject-matter experts, and non-design teammates
- Preferred: Experience supporting proposal or sales teams, including presentations and proposals
- Basic motion design skills (After Effects or PowerPoint animation) for presentation and social graphics
- Experience preparing print-ready and accessible PDFs in Adobe Acrobat
- Understanding of print production, including prepress, bleeds, and vendor coordination
- Familiarity with digital asset management (DAM) platforms
- Experience in the AEC (architecture, engineering, construction) or professional services industry
- Additional Requirements / Skills / Working Hours / Compensation Range
- Full-time, exempt; remote role, with travel to company offices as required
- Must be able to pass a background check in accordance with client and project requirements
- Salary Range: $90,000 - $110,000 depending on experience
What’s In It For You:
- Comprehensive core benefits (medical, dental, vision)
- Employer-paid life and disability coverage
- A wide range of voluntary benefits, including pet insurance, pre-paid legal, hospitalization, critical illness, and accident insurance
- 401(k) with day-one eligibility, including a 100% company match on the first 3% of eligible compensation and a 50% match on contributions between 3% and 5%
- Generous time off, including 10 paid holidays, and a PTO plan that starts at 15 days annually, growing up to 25 days with tenure
