• Working Pattern: Core hours only, 8am-4pm, possible weekends
• Hourly Rate: £28-32 Umbrella equivalent

We are currently seeking a Band 6 Biomedical Scientist specialising in Microbiology to join our client’s team in the West Midlands. This is a full-time, ongoing position working core hours and possible weekends. It is offering a competitive hourly rate and the opportunity to contribute to a busy and well-established laboratory service.

Key Responsibilities

• You will lead the department and partake in performing culture, identification, and sensitivity testing of clinical specimens. You will detect bacterial  infections using manual and automated techniques.

Qualifications and Experience

• HCPC registration
• Degree in Biomedical Science or equivalent
• Experience of management in Microbiology within a clinical laboratory
• Experience with culture and sensitivity testing
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• NHS experience (preferred)
