JOB DESCRIPTION:

SUMMARY OF POSITION

Works as a member of a crew that performs a wide variety of duties and tasks related to the upkeep and maintenance of city parks, grounds, trails, and facilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Grounds keeping tasks such as mulching, weeding, and trash pickup.

Performing brush and debris removal, material hauling, turf repair, leaf raking, litter pick-up, and other related duties as assigned.

Accountable for maintaining high standards for safety, maintenance, and appearance.

Continuous litter pick-up and removal from assigned areas as directed.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Effectively communicate via written, verbal, in person and virtual methods.

Working knowledge of mechanics and ability to perform safety/maintenance equipment inspection.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Education Level
• HS Diploma or equivalent
• Years of Experience
• Previous experience in the safe operation of grounds keeping equipment, hand tools, and other related equipment is preferred.
• Certification/Licensure

• PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
• Standing – 80%
• Sitting – 20%
• Squatting – Occasional
• Kneeling – Occasional
• Bending – Occasional
• Driving – Occasional
• Lifting – In excess of 50 pounds
