Medical Scribe

Plaza Healthcare is a skilled nursing facility focused on high-acuity post-acute care. Our team supports patients with complex needs across services including ventilator and tracheostomy care, dialysis, wound care, and rehabilitation, and we are committed to maintaining clear, accurate clinical documentation that supports quality patient care.

In this role, you will support a physician by helping ensure patient records are documented accurately, promptly, and with close attention to detail. This is an important position for someone who is organized, comfortable working with clinical information, and motivated to contribute to a healthcare environment where precision and confidentiality matter every day.

Responsibilities

• Transcribe physician-dictated patient notes accurately and promptly into electronic health records.
• Review clinical documentation for completeness, clarity, formatting, and transcription errors.
• Maintain strict patient confidentiality and comply with healthcare privacy requirements.
• Communicate with the physician to clarify unclear or incomplete dictated information.
• Organize and update patient documentation using the facility’s computer systems.
• Hours: 7:30am - 1:30pm ( Work 6 hours and you will be paid for a full 8 hour day)

Requirements

• Required Qualifications
• Fast and accurate typing skills.
• General computer skills and comfort working in electronic documentation systems.
• Knowledge of HIPAA, clinical note accuracy, and confidentiality practices.
• Fluency in English.
• Eligibility to work in the United States.

Preferred Qualifications but not required

• Healthcare experience.
• Current nursing school enrollment or CNA training.
• Experience with PointClickCare.
• Experience in skilled nursing, post-acute care, rehabilitation, or dialysis-related documentation.
• Fluency in Spanish.
