Citizens State Bank is looking for a motivated, detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Mortgage and Construction Loan Assistant. This position will work closely with our Mortgage Loan Officers and Construction Lending Department to coordinate loan files from application through closing and construction administration. The role will communicate with borrowers, builders, title companies, inspectors, and other third-party vendors to gather documentation and help keep loans and construction projects moving forward.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect, review, and organize documentation for mortgage and construction loan files.
- Coordinate with lenders, borrowers, builders, title companies, inspectors, and other third parties.
- Order and track appraisals, title work, inspections, insurance, and other required documentation.
- Assist with construction loan administration, including builder files, budgets, draws, inspections, lien waivers, and project documentation.
- Track mortgage pipelines and construction projects to support timely closings, draws, renewals, and payoffs.

Requirements
- Three to five years of similar or related experience preferred.
- Experience with mortgage lending, construction lending, loan processing, loan operations, construction draws, builder reviews, title work, or insurance documentation is preferred.
- Strong organization, attention to detail, communication, customer service, and basic calculation skills.
- Ability to manage multiple loan files, deadlines, and documentation requirements.
- Valid NMLS registration or willingness to become registered within 90 days, as required for assigned duties.
